Psilocybe Cyanescens in Massachusetts * 1
    #27575933 - 12/10/21 10:33 AM (2 years, 1 month ago)

It appears that I have found Psilocybe Cyanescens in Massachusetts. Looks like this could be the first documented find here. Pretty exciting stuff.

yea but all he said was the first documented find, which reigns true regardless of whether or not it was only the by-product of human interaction or not, which would be next to impossible to determine either way.

Cool!

What sort of habitat/setting were they found in?

Was it in a "natural" habitat out in the woods somewhere?...

...Or was it in mulch/wood chips in landscaping within a town?

Were you just out & about walking around and spotted them? Or were you actually out looking for mushrooms?

Have you ever ate cyans or any sort of woodlover species before?...They can be pretty damn potent compared to typical cubensis.

It's weird because I've noticed a difference in effects, but not necessarily potency, for example, when taking cubes, I can watch the same trippy video for hours and get lost in the details, borderline hallucinating, but with woodlovers, it's a lot less visual, I'll mostly just get lost in my thoughts, letting the shrooms guide me on a mental journey.

The latter experience is overall much more intense I would say, but there is a difference in the actual effects that I've noticed, and I don't think it's just because woodlovers are more potent, I've taken smaller doses of woodlovers and I still won't have the intense visuals that are experienced with cubes, so I'm wondering if the difference is just strictly potency or there's some chemical composition that differs between the two species.

I was scouting for ovoid habitats actually, and thought these were ovoids initially. They were growing on the edge of a mulched path in an area littered with dead leaves, sticks and a few small plants. Probably around an inch of dead leaves, they seemed to be providing some shade

This means Psilocybe cyanescens occurs in Massachusetts, perhaps other people in Massachusetts can find cyans also...

What a blessing it would be if these started spreading around the east coast

Also. you said you were looking for ovoideocystidiata.
Have you ever found those in Massachusetts?
