a few id's (reishi!?!?!)

found in the appalachian mountains along a beautiful cascading mountain stream. these pictures are the only identifying tools i have. what do you guys think??

i know the pictures are rough. i can post a couple more of the first set.

is ganoderma lucidum reishi?

check the cascades trail thread in OTDto see where i found them :smile2:

Mycenas or collybia in the first image. Looks liek a reeshi.

I just posted some in the medicinal and gourmet mushrooms I think or i nthe grow log. Taken at paul Stamets farm.

i've seen worse too. i've taken worse pics.
that glare just makes it hard for me to see the distinguishing features on the caps.

Yes those are definately Reishi mushrooms.
Most likely Ganoderma lucidum. There are a couple other Ganorderma species which closely resemble G lucidum, they are all said to contain most of the same medicinal properties..
