Question RE: Jar Sizes and Consolidation Time

During a PF-style grow, does jar shape and size (i.e. short wide-mouth vs tall narrow-mouth 1/2 pint) affect the necessary consolidation time? Longer, taller 1/2 pint jars seem to have more surface area than the shorter wide-mouth jars (and therefore a smaller amount of substrate in the invisible interior region) and so why wouldn't they take less time to consolidate? My current understanding is that consolidation is necessary mainly to ensure that mycelium fully colonizes the unseen interior of the jar and so it would seem to follow that the less substrate is on the interior the less time would be needed for consolidation.
Or if you prefer a thought experiment -- if I prepared a BRF cake in a very long, test-tube-like jar with maximum surface area, would consolidation even be necessary after apparent 100% colonization?
Any opinions would be appreciated

I think it takes a week or two for the spores to wake up
Mycelium grows by points of contact. PF tek jars have four holes because four points of contact goes quicker then one.
Volume is important too, I think 1/4 pint jars would go quicker then 1/2 pint jars
I think a 1/4 pint long test tube jar would go slower then a normal 1/4 pint jar because it would have reduced grow points from the narrowness of the tube

Yes, definitely the overall grow-time would not be great in this absurd situation -- but would it require any consolidation time? I guess what I'm asking is whether "consolidation" is purely for the purpose of making sure the interior is fully colonized or does consolidation serve other purposes as well

I think if its really thin, no. If its a normal jar its more 3d so we cant see whats on the inside so its good practice to wait a little longer then you need too.
Plus if you wait long enough, you will get fruits on the inside of the jar

taller jar will take longer for mycelium to travel down and colonize bottom part, but theoretically, it should take less time to consolidate once the whole exterior is colonized.
it also depends on how many injection point successfully germinated.
I had a jar where only 1 point germinated, and I birthed it the moment it hits 100%, because mycelium had to travel from one end to the other, and I know for sure the center must be colonized as well.

That makes sense
