Fusion is a beautiful thing. If you have not checked them out yet, pick of a copy of any Tribal Tech cd if you can. "Rocket Science" is my favorite. :smile:

yeah, if you like the drumming on any Maha stuff then check out Billy Cobham's solo album "Spectrum". he's my favorite fusion drummer and one of my favorite jazz drummers after Tony Williams and a few others.

it doesn't even need to be said that John McLaughlin is awesome. you should check out his acoustic work with Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia, especially 1980's "Friday Night in San Francisco" live album. it's an amazing trio of flamenco style guitarwork that is all over the place, insanely technical but very fun and musical.

there is also a CD that was a collaboration between Santana, McLaughlin, and the Mahavishnu Orchestra - sometime in the early 70s, i believe....
