Rotted grass clippings
    #2754160 - 06/01/04 08:00 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

A foaf has a large pile of rotted grass clippings in his yard and is wondering if it would be applicable in any way to a suitable outdoor tek (any tek, actually). He searched the forums and discovered  this thread, yet nothing since. Any ideas?

Oh, and he just birthed, dunked, and shocked a jar which is now going invitro and is forming major hyphal knots after just a day  :crazy2:

I recall reading a thread last year by Joshua when he managed to fruit some cubensis on grass clippings. Try doing a search on his posts.

I compost all of my grass clippings and use it for substrate. You should turn it in every now and then to get things mixed up good. I turn mine every couple of days or so. The compost is mostly grass, but it also contains oak leaves, used casings, and old hand picked cow pies that I bring back from my mushie field.

Do you have to buffer it to lower the acidity at all?
