What is your favourite movie with a philosophical and thought evoking essence(ex. "Matrix")?

Finding Nemo.

Straight up, watch it on mushrooms or 2c-i.. that movie is laced with subliminal messages about "how to be a good person" basically. The mental effects of psychedelics boosts your detection of this kind of thing so severely, you are more apt to pick up on them. Well, I am anyway. I can't vouch for everyone I guess. I also find that the emotional build ups in these new-age cartoons (the 3D rendered disney films in general) is very well done and impacting.

Ice Age is another one, same thing. The way they personify the animals is INCREDIBLE. They manage to color every animal to resemble a personality of someone you either know or have met atleast once.

The mind-work behind the way these things are created must be so boggling. I would love to be a part of that shit.

Check out one of two 70s classics:

1. The Last Wave directed by Peter Weir with Richard Chamberlain (before he admitted to being gay).

Nope, not a surfing movie. It is about Aboriginal Dreamtime and the end-of-the-world. Very spooky with cool signs like when it starts raining frogs. Surprise ending.

2. Phase IV a sci-fi.

Story is interesting, acting sucks, but photography is amazing. The ants get an intelligent queen and start taking over farms in the desert. A couple of scientists set up shop to study and communicate with them. Naturally, a sexy, young female survivor (from the ants attack) moves into the lab to screw (literally and figuratively) things up. Surprise ending.

Did I mention that I like surprise endings? These are totally trippy with and without drugs. Hope you can find them.

Return to Oz.  It's about Dorothy's post-traumatic stress disorder triggering off severe delusions that mimic every aspect of her every day normal life.  The electric-shock therapy didn't hurt either.  :sun:

Mine has to be Disneys Fantasy. There are so many hidden messages in this movie which really ,at least I, could only see when I was a bit shroomed up.

Woody Allen's "Crimes and Misdemeanors"--great foray into ethics and what makes a successful/meaningful life.
