Please tell me how to be succesful…job ideas for working from home?

I am 29…have been in debt since I was 16. Currently 27k in the hole. -$200 in my bank account with no savings. Currently paid up on immediately bills and managed to get my credit score up to 650 range.
I work some soul crushing factory job. I wake up every day at the ass crack of dawn and drive to bend metals and get yelled at by drunks and retards for 10 hours. Bringing home $650-800 a week…lots of debts. When I leave work I am too dead to do anything else that day. When I am off work I only want to get drunk.
I don’t want to do this. In fact, it is driving me mad. I have no time for fitness, my main passion in life. My shroom cakes always get fuzzies because I do not have time to attend to the humidity and such….I have many ideas for businesses and I think I could put some to use if I had more time to myself. I want to start an online fitness business. I want to sell gourmet/culinary mushrooms at the local farmers market on the side, and eventually I’d like to get some laundromats.
In order to do this I need more time for myself, and I need to be in the right mindset. This job is soul crushing. If I could sit home and blaze and listen to dub and only have to worry about work for 40 hours a week my life would be significantly better. Working where I’m cozy and not having to sit in traffic, making the same with benefits as I do now.
It would have to be the right job, I realize many jobs working from home fucking suck. If anybody has any ideas, please, let me know.

Finding something you can do working from home is great, but it's not usually something you can start and expect to have reliable income from right away. In the meanwhile, have you considered "gig economy" jobs, specifically an on-demand delivery service like Uber Eats?
An old friend of mine is doing just that here in the Los Angeles area of California and bags around $22-$32/hr depending on how the tips go. I recognize that this type of job may not perform as well in all locations, and it is working that my friend benefits from California having recently mandated that these type of businesses compensate drivers for mileage on their vehicle as well as provide a healthcare stipend if you are working a minimum amount of hours (I think it's 20 hrs/week in my friend's case). Nevertheless, it might be something to consider. Even if it doesn't make appreciably more than you are currently making, it could prove to be less stressful than the factory job you're frustrated with, and free up some time for you to try to generate income through something home based as well.

Personally I'd ditch the job stay
Hard to say what alternative to pursue, especially at home.
But I'd work whatever min I had to to get by somewhere I'm not miserable and spend the rest of the time pursuing personal wants and goals
Easier said than done finding a gig you can tolerate with everything you want and need

I know a chick who teaches conversational English to Japanese and Korean business people over the internet, doesn't know a lick of either. They just pay her to talk about sports and news articles with them in English, just as a native speaker. I don't think she even has her TEFL!
Basically just makes note of any grammatical errors, then emails her corrections to them after the lesson for them to read at their leisure.
Makes about $30 an hour, but you have to do it pretty close to full time.
The website is cafetalk.com , they take a cut of your earnings for setting you up with clients, but the more you teach, the less they take.
There's all sorts of other stuff you can teach, and you can like, trade credits to learn things too.

Wow sorry to hear that bud.
Is it an option for you to find an apprenticeship with a tradesman? I know it's not working from home but let me tell you - you don't want a WFH job!
I am in IT and I spend all my time at home and I used to be a brutal stud. Now, I am a slug with a body like 10 years older than it should be.
Can write you 10 pages on why WFH fucking sucks and I am an idiot for not grabbing an apprenticeship offer from a gas engineer that came to my house to fix my boiler !!!
And the biggest thing is that sooner or later, my kind of job will outsourced to Ukraine / India. I have to be crazy to expect they keep paying me like a king for a job they don't actually need me in any specific place and then for some reason they will never want to pay 2, 3 or 4 times less to some dude abroad... I don't even want to hear this challenged, I am in this business for 30 years, I know all the arguments.
If you still want a WFH job - I can help you get started in IT. Will be some beginner stuff like manual testing but, for now, there are a lot of doors open in this field and could find your niche.
Will teach you everything I know but you will have to free up some time. There's no way around that

If you want to start your own online business look into internet marketing. Here's a link to a free course which I have the book version of (From Nothing by Ian Pribyl):
https://stoppingscams.com/FIMP/courses/free-internet-marketing-project/
I would also like to work on my laptop, but it'd have to be something where I don't have to use a phone because I don't get enough quiet at home.
I'm hoping for the best for you.

As someone who's been working in carpentry for two years and has a solid experience on being new to it and working into it and experiencing some different trades (carpentry, electric, plumbing, masonry), it can be challenging but very rewarding
If that's something you might be interested in trying, I can't say I'd discourage it
You'd need to have a bit of grit and enjoy working with your hands
Constantly learning and growing keeps things interesting
2 years is barely enough to even scratch the surface of it all
A lot to be said for it, though it has its drawbacks like most things

I'm an anti social Latino drug addict who works landscaping and other manual labour slave labours such as factory and warehouse work
In contrast my brother who barely speaks a lick of English makes about 50-60k a month as a car insurance agent
He stays home all day and plays PS4 while he has some dude working at the office who makes about 10k monthly
I got offered the job and he was paying me.low wages until I learned but I am very anti social and ridden with anxiety and drug addiction / self esteem problems the stress was too much I had to quit after 2 weeks.
You can get the certification to sell car insurance online****and it cost about 200 bucks .
Once you have a client they will referral each other so new customers flock to you like crazy
They can also come to your house and make the payments. Until you grow big enough to open you own location
You get to keep the entire down payment on a new policy 150-250 up front cash u keep then about 10-15 percent of each payment the customer makes monthly
My brother has like 1500-2000 clients now and is living like a king while not doing shit

I remember a few years ago my brother was begging me to loan him 500 dollars he was so broke now he is making 50-70k a month after taxes
If you feel comfortable talking to people then do this as your side gig .. no cold calling or selling required the customers come to you..
I also forgot to mention my brother charges 150 dollar every 6 month to every client to renew their policy ....he gets to keep all that as well

Hi, Jack. So, I'm basically in the same situation as OP (except I was laid off b/c my doc told me that he seriously advises against me getting the vax due to other health reasons I have and my job was all like "Don't care, get it or your fired" [Not in those words, exactly, but, yeah, basically absolutely in those words]... so, yeah. That really sucked) I was hoping you could answer a couple questions (If not, no worries of course) I have regarding that chick you know and the way she teaches... b/c it's sounds really cool and I have never heard it taught in that specific way. My question is, Is her classes for conversational English typically taught in that way (i.e., talking in English about sports, news articles, etc., with students, just as a native speaker.") or is that just what she is offering (i.e., her own personal lesson plans and teaching? I wish I could pick her brain about it. That is all. Thanks for taking the time to read my message, and again, no worries if you can't answer them, or even if you would straight up rather not answer them, lol. Jam on, Jack.
Kind regards -TToT

>>>I am 29…have been in debt since I was 16. Currently 27k in the hole. -$200 in my bank account with no savings.
Thirteen years so far and you're not making sound money decisions in what are your most formative years (the young years). But you can change because it's clear you want to hence your candid thread.
Don't go into your 30's doing what you have because you'll be in your 40's with nothing in no time. Believe me, I've known fellahs in their 20's who sadly let that happen and now they're middle-aged and have nothing. The older you get the faster time gets as each year is less of a proportion of the life lived. People wonder how and why are there old bums in the street and the answer is they often had no hope all their life. You have to have hope and aspire to something!
>>>When I am off work I only want to get drunk.
Cease drinking, period. It only wastes money so you can't beat debt, adds to depression which is why you're over-tired, and you get nothing positive done while drunk plus it puts on weight. Everything negative you have can be pointed at drinking. Sure the job you have sounds like no fun, but it is the best thing going for you right now. It's money and commitment. It can get worse such as no job.
>>>I have no time for fitness, my main passion in life. ...I want to start an online fitness business.
How are you going to do that unless fit?
The people that tik-tok, YouTube, FB, blog ect showing off their bods are in shape. They also have charisma per jokes and stories if they're good. It's the whole package. Besides, the whole fitness online scene is already saturated in "influencers" and only a small percentage actually make it. It's like saying you want to become a successful dancer or rapper. How many do out of the hoards of them?
By all means get fit by giving the booze the flick as a start. But be realistic by making the steps to get there. On the up side I can say people will treat you differently if you're in shape. Fat slobs, as that's the impression the biased have, get over looked in promotions or ignored in conversations and that impacts on their sense of confidence and even their ability to network and create opportunities. Yes, people are biased and that's a fact. Even subconsciously. Look at many of the successful people, they're in shape because they know others look at them as being conscious about their look, health and are committed to that. If committed to that they are to everything (at least that's the perception). Many businesses particularly in sales expect fit people to meet that successful look.
>>>My shroom cakes always get fuzzies because I do not have time to attend to the humidity and such…. ...I want to sell gourmet/culinary mushrooms at the local farmers market on the side
If you can't get PF cakes to fruit because of cobweb and other contaminants and you don't have time to attend to them, then the complexity of commercial growing and Tee'ing up an agreed supply to a green grocer will not work. Certainty in trade is a corner stone of business. To build that certainty requires capital to afford infrastructure and then the experience curve by learning from failures. That's money and time.
Now I'm not out to put you down. Far from it which is why I've posted. You need to change your behaviours and be realistic in goals. Look for another job that pays better so you can work less hours. Even if you don't get another job, stick with it regardless because the no-job alternative is far worse. I repeat, give the booze away for the reasons said. Don't blow coin on bud or other drugs. Get straight and get positive in view. You will find more energy to take up bicycle riding or running. Neither cost like gym memberships. Pay off the debt which may take two years of solid commitment. You might even get your PF cakes to work, trip a few times and reboot your life for the better. You have to get out of the hole you're in first.

As much as it seems possible you have time to change. It is probably going to uncomfortable.
Have you looked at your financials? Created a budget? The first thing you have to do is be truly honest with yourself and spending. And I don't mean blindly saying everything is good OR bad. Just a realistic look at where your life is at.
1st: Get an understanding of your finces 2nd: write our your short term, mid term , and long term goals and spirations 3rd: Surround yourself with people who are like minded 4th: Be prepared to be very uncomfortable
But to get into more detail, look for different areas to move to. If you don't have kids that is even better. You can rent a shitty room in an expensive city and have more job options. I would suggest going into a trade and working your way. I did that and 4 years later I am working a remote job. But I was very career aggressive and lived well below my means so I could work for $15 an hour while I got relevant job experience.
Its not easy but doable

Hey Dj
What level of schooling do you have?
Assuming highschool or ged I would suggest looking into medical coding or customer service (call center). A lot of companies transitioned their entire call center staff to permanent work from home. Medical coding which is basically doing the back office work to type up provider notes into insurance claims and bills, you might have to do that in person though to gain experience before going 100% work from home, but it is a high need field with low skill requirements.

You could start a dropshipping website. It's no upfront costs, but means you'll need to shovel.
Python programmers are also sought after, but if you would pursue this path it's also kind of a long term.
If you start with dropshipping though, you already get familiar with some simple coding principles in html and css.

Fuck Python. I am in Python. Yes, it's great right now but it's on the top of the curve, if not a little after the top. Java used to be this way 10 years ago.
If you are going to pick something up from scratch right now: Rust and/or Javascript Go could be a wildcard - can either land you a job in Google or... Nothing. But it also has explosive potential.
There's a different discussion about the tail end of the curve: I was also in COBOL - a very old language which peaked in the 80's and then died... Except that it didn't die and all the backbone of financial transactions (interest calculations, insurance, ATMs, cellphone bills...) was left without anyone to maintain it. Good COBOL-CICS developers could ask for $2000 per day. Things have chilled down in COBOL since then but the old timers who still want to make some money - they are doing OK.
Java will be like COBOL in 2040, Python 2050. Unless they develop some AI that can code instead of us. For now, AI that writes code is just a toy... But early cars were kinda shit too. So, I am pretty sure programming will one day be automated. Hopefully I retire by then.

I cut my teeth in COBOL back in the late 90s leading up to y2k. At that time the estimate was 90% of production batch processing code was COBOL and it may have gone down to 70% after y2k. Good to know I can go back to that if ever needed!

That sounds really intense and I feel sorry for you. Did you consider to find an easier job maybe? The pay at your job is not too high anyway. Just quit the thing you hate and start doing something else. Now it is much easier to work from home when you have all those digital tools like slack sms for example. All you need for that is your skills and a laptop.
