I use a KAZ coolmist.....made by KAZ
also Vicks sells them but is KAZ that produce them....
here (mexico) i can buy one for 35-40 us$.....

Coolmist humidifiers are overrated. Mine burnt out the transducer and ended up burning a hole in my pocket. Perlit and fanning works just fine.

I feel cheated, where can I get the stuff that makes eggs look like brains?

Why was it in your pocket? And I agree, humidifiers aren't really necessary. I dont like the air-exchange of a regular humidifer, it does bring in fresh air, but it doesnt MOVE enough to keep contaminant spores from germinating. But that's just my opinion, many will say the air-exchange is more than enough (I would agree if only there were a way to get it distributed, maybe by a CPU or processor fan or something)

i have contacted kaz who have informed me that there is one importer of their products here.
on contacting them i asked if they did or were going to sell cool mists. their answer was no to both.
i might just contact kaz again and ask 'how much to aus'
the ones on their site are nearly $50 u.s. ?
that's $100 aus' plus postage of ?

the reason i wanted one is because of the way my set up is designed. i have a bubbler and a small fan enclosed in pipework recirculating the air, but it's real touchy to adjust the airflow.
