Lowly blue belt looking to geek out on jiu jitsu topics. I train mostly in the gi but do nogi as well, any other practitioners want to talk shop?

I'm interested in martial arts. Very green though. School me.

I know you loved me too, and it was a matter of couldn't rather than wouldn't. I'm sorry for the time and experiences we never got to have and for the times when you were there going above and beyond your means and I was still ungrateful. I'm sorry; I understand now.

What would you like to know? I landed on BJJ because it's constantly evolving and can be practiced regularly with a relatively minimal risk even with full blown sparring. You can play a lot of "games" focusing on certain positions and working from there or disadvantageous positions and so on. It's a lot of fun and very cerebral.

You landed on BJJ; what other MAs did you look at? What is the compettition scene like from grassroots to professional? Say I didnt have access to a class for now: Can I self-teach some basics? What are the basics? the ABCs You compete? If no, hope to? You feel any more confident in handling yourself, real world self-defense wise?
