Thanks bagga, this is a cloned culture I use for about 2 years now. Sometimes I feel like I struck gold with this one

Got some natelensis on the way finally, a vendor I've used a few times had a bogo sale so I went ahead and took the plunge. Only concern was he had NSS and Natelensis both listed, I chose the Natelensis and am hopeful I can contribute to this thread soon!

From things I've read on here it will proably eat the mold and become stronger.
I got some P-Nat started on WBS. I worry it will escape and eat my pets while I sleep.

Lc test. It blew up quick, a couple days ago it was just a little wet spot with some fuzz on top.

I do think I spotted a couple tiny spots of bacteria so well see.

the mono turned out pretty good! I took a couple clones and some prints. I really like the way the gills crawl down the stipe on these

Nice tub man, yeah the gills going down the stem were one of the first things that got people questioning if these were cubes.
Bagga I think that’s gonna be some serious overlay, that thick myc on the edges is exactly what I saw on mine that turned into like rubber mats of myc.

Grimsweeper said: I'm getting some crazy overlay on these but from what I've read it's pretty typical and will still fruit. 2 shoeboxes I'm debating scraping one/casing or a portion to see what effect it has. Anyone else fruit these or have overlay like this?

This is light overlay for natalensis lol

Nice grow Doobb, one of those guys has an awesome myc hat 🥳
Aka: damn... Did it end up fruiting for you? These cultures fruited like crazy on agar, but they're looking pretty fluffy now.
I had one 16oz test jar that I spawned same time, looks terrible (thought it might be mold, but seems it's light bruising) but surprisingly it fruited. Might end up my savior 🤣

Also got these monstrous wet bubble looking things on one tub, never had this before.

Im starting think my coir is dirty, I've had sketchy contam with coir trays all month. I ran a bunch of pans at the same time with real pasteurization, they're clean. Maybe bucket tech doesn't cut it in my new place :/

Lol mine looked a lot like those two pictures. Took forever to pin and only a few at a time.
I forgot I eventually flipped the subs and that’s what the rubbery mat was from, all the overlay squished on the bottom.
Honestly though every culture I’ve had like that was so potent with such a good trip it’s worth running just to have a stash.
Still haven’t gotten one of these crazy canopy cultures to compare with yet.

Let us know how that goes!
I put Nat and Melmac revert clone agar pieces in the same plate and after stirring on the border, a third growth type started that I transferred. I have moved it into LC. would be really cool if this was possible

Very nice. Teach me your ways, please.

--Case, psudeo case, or no case?
and especially:
--what ratio of spawn:sub did you use?
Thank you.

Thanks guys I was quite pleased with the results too. Can't wait to run the clones
I followed the crackatoa/pitchercrab method: This is a 66qt purple latch unmodified with the lid flipped at full colonization. I think this was 4qt spawned 1:3 in straight coir with a top layer added and no proper casing.
my 16qt that I ran alongside seemed to do a bit better though. It fruited 1 week sooner and I think I got a better yield per myc quart

Mmm... Do we mist this crazy myc? Seems like it wants to be left alone.
There's a layer of jiffy mix under there somewhere, it's about 1.5in thick at this point.

The sickly looking 16oz test jar is pinning strongly now, it looked terrible at 100% colonization (yellow metabolites and bruising), but nats don't care 🤣

Misting it at that point is just gonna bead up and evaporate ime. I’ve found that increasing fae tames the overlay to some degree
