    #2752866 - 06/01/04 11:43 AM (19 years, 10 months ago)

hi! i just harvested my cambodians and had them dry infront of my fan over the 3 day weekend. some of them turned a blueish color, and the caps darkened. is this normal and safe to eat? or did these rot?

thanks a lot Eyecon

Bluish color is fine.

What it indicates is that you were handling them (when picking, probably) when they were still fresh. The blue color is a bruise on the mushroom, and does not make them unsafe.

Enjoy!

the main difference is in taste
although some people say that the mushies don't produce as much of the active ingredients after the veil breaks
i haven't seen any science backing this up though
