I really think we need to stress them.
Any thoughts.
I don't know for sure if it enhanced potency, but the one I had that grew the fastest initially got so wet it looked like it was going to rot, so I repositioned it in the soil then dried it out for a long time. After this it healed completely, started growing like wild and began to take a lot of water.
I think stressing by excess watering periods followed by excess drying periods might do the trick. Or the reverse order.

Sounds like a good schedule.
I know it makes mescaline when it is dry because animals have less veggies to choose from, so it starts looking tasty.
I know there is a wet and dry season were they grow, and it is dry in the winter I think, so maybe just putting it up for the winter and not watering it like I do might do it, and letting it grow rapidly, with plenty of water in the summer growing season.
But I don't know much about it, so I was hoping someone else knows how it works.
It's been staying warm here, but the frost at night is the only reason I have to store it inside in hybornation.
I just need to build a greenhouse for the winter I guess, but it might be good for it to go dormant in the winter. I feel like it's wrong to keep it in pretty much cold, dry, total darkness, all winter, especially the total darkness, but it's been working for a couple years now so it must not be bad. It just seems wrong.

I am thinking about ordering a grown cactus online just to have a low dose and to see if its good for me..
- what is the quickest way to prepare, just eat raw? I dont have time to spend full day brewing some concoction - will i get nausea if eating raw - does it contain MAOi, do i have to keep some diet like avoiding cheese/wine etc. ?

It was a strong trip, but very pleasant. There was some vasoconstriction, but not too bad. The first 8 hours or so of the trip was intense. Spent a lot of time laying down and shifting my body around. I could feel every tiny movement of my body. The visuals were nice. Wispy fractal patterns near the edge of objects. Color distortion. The light coming through the blinds looked like it was passing through a prism. Everything just looked new and fresh and vivid.
As the trip progressed on my energy level picked up a lot. Felt very energized. Walked around a lot. Felt very in tune with those who were with me and also with myself. Its hard to put words to all this. It was a very nice time. It felt like I had consumed a medicine that was good for my body and mind. It felt healing. It was fun.
The tea was salty and bitter. It was challenging to drink. My stomach didn't feel good for the first few hours. But I didn't puke. My pupils were huge all day. The trip would ebb and flow in waves of intensity. The intense moments were very strong. But there was relief from that mixed in throughout the day as the waves of intensity would pull back for awhile. It was kind of like the tide, cycling back and forth from high tide to low tide. It was hard to keep track of time. I couldn't really monitor the intervals of it or how often it happened. But at high tide I felt very heavy, especially in my head. Sound would become distorted. I kept hearing sounds off in the distance, almost like alien music. Visuals would pick up. The trip would just get heavy for awhile. Then it would pull back and I would be more present in my body and more clear and less heavy. Then the heavy tide would roll back again. On and off all day. But all of it was pleasant and not scary. It felt natural and healthy. It was a very nice trip. I tripped for 13 hours before going to bed. Was still tripping while going to bed, but not nearly as strong as earlier on.
Cactus is my favorite. Adding the El Chapo to the brew made the physical side effects less challenging than an all Bridgesii tea. It also made the trip more energized and positive feeling than a pure Bridgesii trip usually is for me. This combo of Bridgesii with the El Chapo is a good one.

What has worked well for me is to just focus on growing the cactus to be as healthy and happy as possible. Then when time to trip is coming I harvest the cuttings around a month in advance. I think that the cuttings feel stress just from being cut off and not given a chance to root. Now and then I pick them up and handle them. They want to be in the soil and undisturbed. They don't really need to be in total darkness, just kept in the shade. This has worked for me. And there have been a few times when my plans have changed and I end up planting those cuttings. They are still healthy and grow fine.

Cuttings that have been laying around on the side for some months start to grow roots along the entire side of the plant. I found these cuttings to be noticably stronger, and also a lot more bitter tasting.
I'd love to see some others trying it out. Let a cutting of known potency lay on it's side for a few months so that roots grow on the entire side, and then compare the potency.
On the other hand.. the time they lay around is enough to grow a new trip worth if the plant was left potted or in the ground.

Sound like an incredible experience Grey Fox!
What does the vasoconstriction feel like? How dangerous is it?

Its a tight feeling in the arms and legs. The muscles feel stiff. When it gets bad the muscles feel bloated. Its never gotten to the point of being dangerous for me. But it can be uncomfortable. Bridgesii is known for doing this to some people. Mescaline itself can cause some muscle tension. But I'm pretty sure that there is something additional in Bridgesii that makes it worse.

I do like the tide like waves, and how it's not alien like shrooms, but like a healthy feeling that makes it easy to be around strangers in public and not feel separate, like you're not on the same plane as others. Acid is not as bad as shrooms but still sets you apart, but not cactus.
I also like that you feel like you are coming down but then it comes on even stronger.
The very end, after it's pretty much worn off is when the best visuals come for me, so I try not to go to sleep until it's totally worn off.
My body and mind feel so energized and healthy, and even after it's over I feel like my body is running like it did when I was a kid. Just a perfect tune up.
Great description of your trip, I almost forgot what it is like.
To darkcreature: you really should take the time to make liquid unless you have some really strong cactus, because it's hard to eat enough to give you a strong trip, unless you just want mild effects from eating a little.
Eating a foot of it can take a while and I never had much luck with it, or even keeping it down after gagging for an hour while you try to eat all of it over a long period of time.
The tea is god awful, but at least you can take it in five or six gulps over 45 minutes or less.
I don't think you're tummy with like it if you just chug it down in one go.
Also, make sure it's not PC.
I had to brew about two or three feet to get a fairly strong trip, and even then it wasn't crazy strong.

awco1988.com has some really nice PC, and it wasn't too bad of a trip, but it's PC so not really the best, but still a nice plant. I've been getting it from them for years before I knew there were better types of cactus out there.
Other than that, I got no advice because apparently Jerry, the owner of puresanpedroseeds.com dose not have a website up anymore, and he won't return my emails, so maybe he stopped selling.
I hope not, because he really knows what he is doing when it comes to growing and selling.
Still, the YouTube videos are great.

Just pulled 1.1 g mescaline citrate crystals from bridge and Peru. Can't remember the cultivars of the bridge I just know they were plants that unfortunately died under my care. Will probably be doing it here in an hour or two. Really looking forward to ringing in the new year the right way

After you've been growing them for awhile you end up with an unlimited supply of cactus to trip on, at least for one person's needs. This is what fell off from one Bridgesii the other day. This kind of thing happens all the time. They just keep growing and dropping more columns, on and on forever. It never stops.

Here are some smaller sized Bridgesii cuttings. I love the color of Bridgesii. But the spines are so sharp!
