Nice, sounds like a very good and smooth introduction to the cactus experience. With potent cactus, 10 inches is a good medium dose already, even if it's thin.
Glad you had a good time!

The first dose was just over 4 oz. So 9-10" of bridgesii. Not yet to the 2 hour mark, and I feel like I can access any part of the psychedelic experience I want at will. OEVs, CEVs, euphoria, dark corners lurking with demons, leaps of faith. They're all here again, though not so obtrusively as in the past.
... and now my cat wants to play. Gotta go.

I was worried that was going to be a flop, but no, that cactus was good. That got me to level 3 solid, and damn near level 4 at times. Compared to shrooms, it was more clear headed and un-intrusive, less weird. It came in gentle waves and most of the trip it was like the trip was there in the room with me, but something I could pick up and put down for the most part. Way less time warping too. It seemed to pass more normally and was easier to keep track of. Very euphoric.
Sounds like it was a beautiful trip!
After my first Bridgesii trip I knew that it was going to be my psychedelic of choice moving forward. Its just so different from the other psychedelics. You do a great job of describing it! Clear headed. Less confusing. But so beautiful. When tripping it feels like the cactus wants to work with you and help you. You felt the waves it comes in. It has such a unique, beneficial feel to the experience.
I'm interested to hear if you observe any lingering effects from the trip over the coming days / weeks. Cactus has a way of continuing to work in the background for quite some time after the "trip" ends. I'd be curious to hear if you notice this as well.
I think that what you will observe if you go higher in dose in the future is that the trip becomes heavier and more intense. It will no longer be something that you can "pick up and put down". But rather, it will have a more powerful grip on you and take you where it wants to go, as opposed to you being in the drivers seat. The bodyload also becomes a lot more intrusive.
It sounds like you had many visuals at the dose that you took. That really speaks to the fact that every cactus is different, and every person is different, and every trip is different. I usually have to take a higher dose, to the point of experiencing a lot of nausea, before seeing many visuals. Again, I guess that just goes to show how everyone is different.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Bridgesii is such an incredible medicine. Your report really captures that. Its awesome that you shared it with the community.

How do you guys feel about using kelp or other seaweed (as a brewed tea) As a fertilizer?
I’ve seen some vendors sell a homemade kelp product… I live within 2 miles of the Long Island sound, there is hella seaweed to be found, and a native kelp if I head out to the east end of the island.
(Going to cross post this in the trich growers thread too)

I'm a big fan of using kelp both as a soil amendment and in compost tea. If you have a local supply I'd start using it for that purpose. If you're going to use it as a dried/fermented soil amendment then be sure to rinse before you dry it off and use the rinse water in your garden. You can use the unrinsed brine covered bits in your compost pile as well. I've used diluted sea water in my gardens for years back when I lived closer to the ocean. Now I ship pallets of sun dried sea-solids (solarized sea water) to my place in the mountains and still use sea-solids at 1 tsp/gallon for all of my plants with the exception of my lophs.

I wrote up a more detailed report of the trip here:

It probably wouldn't have gone so well if this thread didn't exist.

Thanks for sharing.
I am building a bolivian torch sanctuary at my workplace. Bridgesii is by far the most beautiful sage I ever met. It is great to see there are many who appreciate this gift.

Those look great well done. I like the pots by the door
My Bridgesii are growing well I’m pretty happy with how they’re looking, so nice in the summer sun! SS02 and OTB are good fast growers for me.
Taz is crazy fast but I wonder if it’s pure bridge, listed as such tho, so should be?
What are the best growers for you guys?
How does PsychoO grow?

SS02, Kate, and Medicine Man are probably my fastest/best growing bridgesii. KGC grows fast too but is really sensitive to light and humidity changes. My OTB grows pretty slow compared to other bridgesii I have, maybe it's my environment. I don't have psycho0 or Taz, so I can't really comment much on those. I think I've heard psycho0 grows really fast though.
I just found out tonight that the base of the spines on some of my bridgesii glow bright yellow in the blacklight! I don't know what that means, but it's very noticeable and looks cool.

Jiimz Bridgesii and a couple of unnamed clones are my fastest growers. Bridgesii are fast growers in general though. They are the fastest growers among all the active Trichocereus species for me, even faster than PC. The exception is TBM. I have the short form and it is SLOW.

Let’s see what else Bridgesii is good at…
Bugs and sunburn seem to affect my bridges less. Anyone else notice the same?
Or anything else they do well?

The range of color on Bridgesii is so beautiful. The blues and greens combined with the yellows and golds and browns of the spines. The growth tips get that neon green color. Its such a gorgeous looking cactus.

I’ve got 2 big bridgesii cuttings coming from a mail order only nursery out in Sebastpol California coming In a few weeks, a 16-18 inch and a 22-24 inch cut. I’ll have enough to do a few smaller test run doses and a bigger trip, plus still have a good size cutting to plant.
I’m sure some of you know who they are already… But, curious, Being that they are mail in only, would it violate the supporters rule to talk about them specifically?
I’m so stoked. I’m In love with the two pachs I have already and can’t wait to expand my collection!

I'm a big fan of Ben and his work. I've got some new cactus coming from him at the end of June. I like supporting his conservation efforts with my patronage even if it means waiting a little longer than normal. Which cuttings did you get?

Here are my babies!

They seem happy in the windowsill for now. I put together another (larger) pot with more seeds, hopefully they will germinate.
