who wants to see a wierd mushy from Melbourne?

I have been told it is a Fistulina but no species could be given. Never seen this one again.

Fantastic pics, esp' that top 'butterfly' one... you might be interested in my recent post titled 'wirdo red "shroom" ' or sommat like that, also from Melbourne... One of the gurus suggested a Fistulina sp. for that specimen, but I preferred his 1st guess...

It certainly resembles a Fistulina. There are a couple key features you need to verify to be sure it is one.

First, the tubes should be separated from each other (not attached to each other).

Second, the overall texture should be fleshy, not woody. If cut, it will generally bleed a little bloodlike juice.

If so, then those are Fistulina hepatica.
