One last hunt for morels
    #2752092 - 06/01/04 04:44 AM (12 years, 6 months ago)

We decided to make on last trip out today. Unbeliveable, we found another 20lbs of morels, 2 puffballs and 8 Boletus Edulis. I have to tell those of you who don't know, none of these are "magic mushrooms". However they taste great. There were many magic mushrooms as well but left them behind. Here are a few pics

What general area of the world did you do so well in?   I was also curious if you found them next to an old forest fire area?  Thanks!

Incredible man!!!  Where are you finding these?  We checked Kittitas County just a few days ago and didn't find any edible elatas.  What elevation?

Again, kudos on the giant morel scores

We found these in Washington, and not in forest fire area. We found them a couple weeks ago in more open areas and yesterday in pretty shady areas at 4000 ft. We have been hunting and doing this good at 4000 ft for a month and I would expect that to continue for another week since it has been so wet. Good luck.
