Hunts From: 11/17/2021 - 12/01/2021
Habitat: Old Clearcuts,Logging Road,Trails, and Forest Floor
Last Hunt: I received an email from someone who has commented on my YouTube videos before, he was asking if I was looking for a foraging partner. It as one of my last free days the next day, so I ask if you he wanted to meet up tomorrow at a neutral woodlot area. That way it gives me a chance to go hunt areas I normally wouldn't drive to, and see how good the area looks and how old it is. We met up at the parking lot and walked are way to the clearcut, and we spent a good 4 hours hunting. He had only found Pellis once last year, from watching my videos which I thought was pretty cool. I explained the habitat they liked, their characteristics, and also just answering any questions he had about them. We mostly just found small patches here and there, but eventually we found a nice sized patch, biggest patch he'd seen so far. I didn't take many pics or pick many for myself, I took 5 specimens to keep for research and all the rest we found went in his basket for his research. Overall it was a good experience, and makes me considering maybe doing it again next season, but I'm still wary.

Hey mate. These little guys look amazing. Have you ever tried to cultivate them yourself or haven’t needed to seeing as this is your backyard.
Btw did those Aussie pans prints ever arrive?

Hey AyE, no I've never tried to cultivate these indoors but I have been planting stem in my yard, so hopefully if I can get some luck next season. The person I met up with to go hunting with tried to put a tissue sample to agar, it unfortunately didn't take off. He might put some spores to agar and see how that works out.
Yeah thank you so MUSH, I'm sorry AyE I didn't get back to you that I got your prints. I just haven't been doing any cultivating for awhile. I just had to take a break for awhile.

All cool bro. Glad they arrived. Been a hectic year for sure.
I was hoping to find a subaeringnosa patch this year and bury the stems under a tree bed in my yard but no luck.
Even if it’s not proper cultivation it’s good if you can set a patch close by. I don’t think those pelleys would survive in my area but they would be awesome to introduce here
What are pelleys similar to in growing and consumption?

I feel if they were in a mountain forest area like subs normally would grow in they might have a chance at survival, they just won't have to deal with freezing but instead have to deal with the dryer warm conditions. If they can grow in northern California they could a have chance, but I don't know shit haha.
Similar in growing I don't really know, maybe libs because they have a somewhat similar appearance. Consumption, I've tried these once for a dose at 26.6g fresh in a tea, definitely not potent in small numbers but if you have a proper dose. I did close to 30g because from I found online it said that a 1g of Pelliculosa is around 1/3 of the strength of a 1g of Cubensis.
Here my trip report from last season from the 2020 PNW Actives Thread

I’m thinking they might be like ps alutacea. Haven’t tried them though and tried getting some old spores going to no avail.
Sweet though I’ll do some research on them.
