yes, if you've got somewhere about 15.000$ lying around you could consider getting a full pro-tools setup. hehe..

cooledit is a nice sofware packet also, maybe you can still find an freeware version somewhere. Or order an uptodate version at www.cooledit.com

Thanks bros- I downloaded cool edit 2000. It has some nice features. I tried to download cool edit pro from bearshare, but it was just a .wav file (wrong format) and took me 2 hours to download.

Do you think I should try and download it again, or stick with CE2000? I want to be able to make some rap and rock type musak.

cool edit is good. fruity loops is very good, dwnload it and find a crack so you get it for free. ts404 is fun, too. i like stomper beat creater for some kick drum sounds, weird drops, wav's to make for use in other programs. there's a lot.
