Just ordered a hepa filter, interesting specs I’m not accustomed to. Will this suffice?

So I’ve come across a good deal for a hepa filter. It’s 22x43x5. Specs are in the picture. Will this suffice for laminar flow?

Gong to be making a Hepa flow Hood with this puppy so that I may do my sterile work in front of a clean laminar flow of air. This entails building a box around the filter, and attaching a fan to push air thru it so that you can work in front of clean air. I have done all my work in a SAB (still air box) up until now, which was fine when doing culture work and grain inoculation, but now that I’ve moved to 5 pound production blocks, 25 at once, it took me over an hour to do something that should have only taken 15 min. I currently can only fit 2 bags in my SAB at once and than have to remove from the SAB to close bags with an impulse sealer. Honestly I haven’t gotten any Contams doing it this “ghetto” way. And by no means do I think a hepa flow hood is “necessary” for any sterile work. Technique will trump technology and tools any day. But since I am ramping up to commercial levels I need some proper infrastructure to really move smoothly and not waste time...

It’s not an FFU unit, just the hepa filter. I’ll need to build a space for a plenum of air behind it to evenly force air through with a fan.

Ide live to be corrected, but i dont think you need a plenum, well probably not as big as you may cobsider, as long as the fans dont point directly at the filter, a very smalle amount of soace will suffice. I sai this because i have a FFU. And seen others, my ffu ha 4 fans all kinf of pointing towards the center, and they all have probably a 2-3" area thry occupy behind the filter. The flow hood i made is like a big 2' cube cuase i hella overdod the plenum ha. Food4thot
