Over saturated extraction

I've performed a dual extraction on 80g of dried reishi.
I first blended it to powder, then boiled it for 2 hours in about 2 liters of water and removed the solids. I'm aiming for a 1g/ml extraction @ 30% alcohol, so I reduced it to 56ml
I then took the solids and performed a warm ethanol (95%) extraction using a croc pot over the course of two days with regular shaking. I've separated the solids via vaccum filtration, and I'm down to about 250ml of alcohol (95%).
There seem to be solids precipitating out of the alcohol already. It's my understanding that this shouldn't happen until I've reduced it significantly more. Have I just managed to extract more goodies than normal? Should I stop the reduction and just save this as fully saturated reishi tincture? Did boiling the water first change some compounds so it's not just the expected triterpines in there?
I know for a fact there were no solids in solution before the reduction.

I think someone else ran into this problem recently and the solution was to add more alcohol but I'm not 100% certain.

Heh, that was me, and on my last alcohol extraction.
The problem that time was that I let my alcohol sit exposed to moisture for too long and it absorbed a bunch of water. That's not the case this time around, though.

Sorry mate, I'm absolutely no help.
Well I have one question, how do you estimate what amount of solids your going to get? I mean why do you think it shouldn't start precipitating out until there's less alcohol left?

I'm just operating under the assumption that most dual extractions are concentrated at 1g/ml, and that there are few precipitates at that concentration. I could be totally off base there. I don't see people mention their extraction strengths often.

I guess my questions are:
1. Is it safe to assume that the solution is saturated with goodies? 2. Is this a normal amount of goodies to expect? 3. Could there be unwanted stuff in there, resulting from performing a decoction first (thus breaking down the triterpines in to other molecules)

Wait, so while you were doing this the alcohol and solids were sealed in some sort of vessel that was in the crockpot, correct? not just in the crock pot itself? And I assume you've tested however you did before to verify you're at 95% alcohol still?
I'd say if that's the case, add more alcohol and see if they re-dissolve into solution, filter it very well through a really good filter of some sort, and you can be fairly sure at that point that you've got nothing but the good stuff in there.

Right. I used the crocpot as a hot water bath for a couple of jars filled with mushroom matter and everclear.
I'm confident at this point that the ever clear is still a very high concentration of alcohol, and that it's fully saturated. I'm just concerned that maybe it's not just triterpines. Like maybe the boil broke them down stuff and more than just triterpines are in there.
I trust your judgment though. I'm just surprised 80g of reishi managed to fully saturate ~250ml of 95% ethanol

Yeah, that does seem like kind of a lot of liquid to be fully saturated, maybe it did pull something else?
I've never read about saturation amounts of triterpenes or anything so I've nothing to compare it to. You could always try the process again without boiling first just to see what you come up with.
