The grasslands are pretty dry. Found a few cyans but they're little and not worth the picture space.
But did check on a promising spot today. No caerulescens but I think with a good rain it will be in business.

There were a lot of these though absolutely stunning. And am honorable mention for GA Actives.

More Augusta (evans) on the maaaaap! This time, zero questions!

This haul was same day, two different areas.
Pans by work
And them hunky chunks at my mailboxes down the street.

the individualism in those caps!!! wow!!! and that looks like you found them in some of that thick meadow habitat which in my experience is not easy pickings. did you find them on the edge where the tall grass meets the shorter grass or were u like waste deep middle of thicket communing with the locust friends?

Yup the black stuff is spores/decaying caerulescens from earlier flush.

Habitat probably isn't what you think lol I was in someone's backyard pretty much but along the wood line

Shaded area at base of hill so it usually keeps fairly moist

Checked the new spot today. Walked down further than the last find and didn't see any big ones. But. Always be looking out. Nearly stepped on these on the way out. How many others did I not see?

Ha! Thanks man. I separated them out, copes vs. Weilli and made all level 4 single dose frozen teas at 1 cup each.

Nope, I love to chef it up, but not a professional, just hobby, along with foraging.

Thanks,

Matt

Wish there was some rain in the forecast..  still have pins coming up though :crazy2:
Found a new spot too, but only one fruit and a bunch of lacs at 2 of the 3 spots

Lacs everywhere finally.

Hopefully this is caerulescens myc. under this wire fence!

3rd spot, pins nearby too

man, the other day i didnt want to pick a spot clean and opted for some straight burnt marshmallow looking fellows as to leave some freshies. whats crazy is that despite their
jet blackness the stem was still visibly floccose and despite them tasting a little old and decrepit they still had much kung-fu. i suspect this might be the last little flush for these tampas this year

the next day after watering them

these 2 were from the weekend

along with this little bugga
