Any info on germinating seeds and inoculating the young roots with mycorrhizae in a petri?

Hi all.
We are getting around a 10% reduction in healthy carob trees every year where I live.
I have some clean Pisolithus arhizus (dead mans foot) mycelium which grows here locally. I plan to inoculate the roots of the carob seed as soon as they show. This will hopefully protect the new trees from disease and pest problems.

My initial plan is to:
1. sterilize the seeds with a apple cider vinegar/ water mix.
2. Sterilize some wet paper towels in the PC at the same time as I sterilize the agar and petris.
3. Put the seeds to germinate with the paper towel method (a very small square of paper towel) inside the petri at the same time as I add the mycelium to the agar with an inoculation loop.
4. Hope that the mycelium attaches to the tree root when it pokes out of the paper towel.

I was hoping to get a tried and tested method, advice on my method, or any links or books with this kind of info?

Thanks very much.

It should be simple to expose the seeds to mycelia. Make gallons of LC.

Test various levels of exposure. In one case soak seeds in LC for 2 days; in another case a day, in another an hour. Another level of exposure would be adding extra LC after planting. You can try innoculating many times with the same culture.

It will grow faster after this if you plant it in live soil. Mycorhizae can go faster with more organisms. But if you wish for a pure culture you could try planting in pasteurized coir in a tub.
