Loose drive shaft on old E-150 * 1
    #27500438 - 10/11/21 06:56 AM (2 years, 3 months ago)

I converted a van into a pretty kick ass 'van life' van. I invested lots of money and time into this.
(I should have started with a better van, but live and learn).

For the past couple months it's been shaking like crazy under the van at certain RPMs.
I hear a loose drive shaft can fuck a LOT of other components of the drive train.

Did I wait too long, and how fucked am I?
Anyone ever deal with this? What did it end up costing?

I had tire pressure act like that. Another time it was cracked bell-housing on the auto trans.

Yeah, I hope all the vibrating didn't fuck the transmission.
Just dropped her off at the garage today... Might be taking out a loan later lol.

2003, turns out it was a cylinder that wasn't firing. Broken spark plug and ... coils? This unbalanced firing was shaking the whole van.

Glad I got it looked at, ran me about 350$ :/
