Still to this day have not broke into the crypto market. I Wasnt so tech savvy for a long period I still im bottom barrel when it comes opsec but at least I know what it is, and there are steps ypu take and follow. With that said my number source for what I know about crypto is this thread and a few other feeds. This is where im at, I have a 15k-20k sports card investment i plan to cash before the 600 online reporting takes affect at the first of the year. My plan or strategy is simple. I specialte monero being the most privacy freedom based focus coin going into the financial climate that is forseen, its a reasonable assumption that we will see coins move that either one offer privacy, and 2 offer speed... I've taken notice of solana. Not like what people here are saying, buy that too, but watxhing it along with what people are saying. I dont like fomo, i control that by garage saleing and buyi g sports card boxes, but im ready soon to make a serious move in my assets I know people say that, but I have decently liquidatable content and would just like to know if Im ready for cryto on an initial strategy of buy and long term hold XMR and and hunt sol deals starting out. Or am I going to lose everything with what little I know, also know to get a nanoledger. So i feel like im a few steps and words of encouragement away.

BTC is still king at the end of the day.
A good portion of my portfolio is in BTC cause when shit hits the fan, it wont capitulate anywhere near as bad as alts.
That said, DeFi is a bit of a crypto revolution and Im loving where its headed. Looking to increase exposure on a few stake coins, but not with the current heat levels in the market.

I disagree. When shit hits the fan on btc alts produce greater margins. At the very least when btc is lateral there's much more gains to be made on alts.

Crashing isnt a negative factor in top defi projects at this point if you strategize profit taking and staking. BTC might crash less but certainly gains far less too. If you bought BTC at 30k you still would not have been able to capitalize well on profit taking strategies by now. To me that is proof enough that BTC is far down on the totem pole of good investments in the crypto space and is too far down now to ever catch up.
If BTC is king, then BTC is akin to an old royal British king whos lost all his good sense and has gotten fat and slow and can barely speak.
Of the top defi projects i hold, ive been able to sell 20% or so of holdings so far to recover much more than my initial investment making the remaining 80% of my total bags is pure profit that is growing daily in the stake pools. If it crashes, then you happily refill your bags for cheap. BTC or ETH have not performed well enough to allow for such luxuries that defi provides. I do not forsee a day where BTC or ETH suddenly flips profitability with defi, they dont have enough to offer, and ETH is like an old demented grandma in the crypto race, its pretty much impssible at this point imo, hence the hard argument for "defi maximalism"
All imo

What collection? Floki is holding all time high range and making a bull flag and about to break out.
I bought 2 months ago and have no plans on selling. Just remember Shiba Inu had a daily volume of 20 dollars for months and was literally a joke and half were deposited into vitaliks wallet and vitalik donated them and they all got sold off on everyone lol, There is literally nothing to Shiba Inu but since you guys see it in the top 100 and has multi billion dollar market cap suddenly somehow you guys like it, if you like it at those prices you are what long time crypto investors view as top buyers
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/floki-inu/

I am up thousands of percent lmao

You only get 1 shot to get into these before they break that billion dollar market cap and rocket up and start showing up in the top 100 cryptos and once it's in the top 100 your risk factor buying in starts increasing dramatically, to 2x once it hits a billion it had to go to 2 billion, 10x 10 billion.
My favorite part about investing is that I can literally just do 1st grade math, look at probabilities and market trends and turn my crypto into more crypto over and over again with ease.

Wondering if crypto has the gas to make a considerable move here.
Gut instinct is telling me to sit out
Wondering if we need or will retest lower support to build a stronger zone at this level and gain some confidence in the space

Harmony ONE has hit an ATH and has been holding very well all weekend. A number of updates scheduled for this month as well, including the bitcoin bridge.
Hoping this will be a good month for it but feeling it would be wise to take a little off the table at this point considering how well it has performed over the last few days.

Distributed around 8% of my available fiat to favorite alts. Hoping I hit the bottom on XTZ at $7.
Received this email from Coinex yesterday -
"To improve the market liquidity on the platform and promote the healthy development of CoinEx Ecosystem, Automated Market Making (AMM) was introduced to CoinEx on February 3, 2021. Due to the active trading and sufficient liquidity in both SHIB/USDT and SHIB/USDC markets, CoinEx will cancel the AMM function of these two markets at 2:00 on October 10, 2021 (UTC)"
It was a good run while it lasted. Pulled out my liquidity as Tether and sent SHIB wallet to CB Pro. Ended up with a 200% gain just leaving it idle for 3-4 months. Not sure what I'll do with SHIB from here on out but it has been exciting and profitable as a side bet amongst my traditional portfolio. Hasn't hurt me to place a couple long shots.
