Rez Effect + PF Jars? Ratio?

Hi,
Just wondering if one could employ the rez-effect tek when casing PF Jars. From what I've read, one could mix vermiculite with crumbled PF cakes without a problem. However, the vast majority of the information I've stumbled across on these boards applies to using the rez-effect with grains. With grains, it seems that most people use a substrate:verm ratio of 2:1. I'm wondering if the same ratio is used with PF jars. I would imagine that the ratio might be different, given that PF cakes already contain verm.

Personal experience using the rez-effect with PF jars is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Even when using the rez effect, the moisture is eventually going to run out and you'll wind up dunking. Since the Rez effect uses a 2:1 ratio, and the PF tek uses a 2:1 verm to brf ratio, I don't forsee any noticeable difference.

The PF tek does have verm, but most of the moisture will probably be gone by the time it's done colonizing. I don't think the rez effect will hurt, it's worth a try. Maybe use a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio.

the reason rez is used with grains only is cause grains don't hold very much moisture...pf cakes are make up of mostly verm already so theres no reason to add more....just dunk the cakes before casing them
