I wouldnt super glue, the cactus should adhere itself fine, if anything, just tie it or rubber band it gently, over the top, maybe in a cross.. but be gentle, people split their buttons all the time doing that.

The actual ages dont seem to matter, as long asthey're both old enough for the scions to line up. (when you cut the cactuses, inside the center of both, there will be a circle of major vascular tissue, you want the two to line up.)... the idea of grafting though IS to graft a slow grower onto a fast rootstock

This is a picture of Una's. I think it went from a 10 day old seedling to 3 months old...

two days? i put a poked humidity tent for around a week (and another week away from the high sun spot), for higher RH and take them off the cactus spot, to a shadier and cooler spot. super glue sucks (spoils the growth kick), use pantyhose, isolant/adehesive tapes (and a sponge on the top of the scion).
natural light if possible, like i said before, take it easier on the light after you graft. put the grafts amongst your salvias. that lighting should be good. i don't know whats your climate like...
hope it helps, good luck!

I've found 2 days to be sufficient. I almost cover an aquarium with a sheet of Plexiglas, leaving about an inch for ventilation. Then I spray again when dry, usually once or twice a day.

That's all it takes!

Another question: if grating cactus scion to small for stock could you graft to a pup of a grafting stock since their's is smaller?

yes you can graft to a pup as long as it's large enough to sustain what can become a heavy ball one day! =)
anyways, you can always regraft or de-graft whenever you want...

so the key is cleanlyness and the scions matching up ?

cleanlyness (have always alcohol and cotton or paper towels (or TP)) and the matching of the vascular spot/ring are the keys for a good graft... use also a sharp knife and make _straight cuts_...
always press the scion down to drive off the air bubbles and keep a little pressure on it through the bandages...
