I'm in texas now...
    #27476309 - 09/20/21 11:54 PM (2 months, 6 days ago)

And god damn people drive SOOOOOOOOOO SLOW here!! Reminds me of how people drive in Los Angeles. They drive so slow like they have nothing important to do all day long. SPEED IT UP!! Thank god I bought a new used car that has more horsepower and torque than all the other cars I've owned (except my first car), good for getting ahead of EVERYONE. What the hell, I thought people drove fast in texas...? My step dad says it's because of all the california transplants who have moved to texas, and a lot of people from texas now live in california.

I'd say that your stepdad is likely correct. People drive slow in LA because it's a toyotadope hotbed, engendering even greater problems to the heavily trafficated city. The mass toyota migration to Texas has spawned a prevalence ov dopey driving characteristics not typically associated with the state. Even a single toyotadope can clog up the roadways in domino effect. Truly a shame that the scourge has spread across the nation.

Texas is full of crazy ass drivers. How fast do you need to go?

Did you move to a small little farm town or something?

Ever thing you might be in too much of a hurry? If you are trying to get somewhere at a certain time you might just want to leave earlier. I usually like to be where I need to be at least 15 mins early just in case, so I leave earlier to do so.

Are you the type that likes to drive 20 miles over the limit?

Impatient drivers like yourself cause more accidents than any person driving 5 below the limit.

Reminds me of the Louis CK bit about drivers who fuck over everyone to save a mild inconvenience to themselves "But it's not my favorite waaaaay".

If y'all wanna see craziness. Try using 95 to get to 278 all the way thru on a straight shot to get past New York during rush hour.  Shit is crazy you'd think turn signals don't exist and the goal is to win the game of chicken.  I'm glad I don't drive in the city.

Was on my bike the other day; some dude almost killed me in their truck as they slowly creeped into traffic. I was riding towards the sun so didn't see them until I saw them a quarter of the way into their turn. Probably from Texas. They were turning out of a longhorn steakhouse.

In NM its a mixed bag, some people drive 45mph regardless of the current speed limit, others drive at least 25mph over the speed limit at all times, do not use turn signals, and weave in and out of traffic. Most of the time, those jackasses in the latter group are also driving giant lifted trucks that park diagonally across several parking spots...

I usually try to do something between +0 and +5mph over the speed limit, I've had too many tickets in my younger years, and my current job pays attention to shit like that.

I'm in the Dallas/fort worth metroplex. I have a camry but I'm not a "toyotatard." I was looking at 3 different cars and my car was the only one that has a perfect carfax with no accidents. The civic I was looking at was in a severe accident. But my camry has more horsepower and torque than the other cars I was looking at which is what was important to me.

There aren't many speed limit signs here so I don't really know if they are going the speed limit or not but on side streets, I don't go more than 40-45mph. But still, people drive SLOW.

Um.....I follow ALL the driving rules. I'm not impatient, but when people are going 5-10mph below the limit, I have to go around them. They like to make one big line in one lane and they always leave one lane open just for me to go around them. I use my turn signal and I don't weave in and out of traffic.

People in texas drive slow cuz they all have those big ass cow catchers and crash bars on the front of their cars for some reason, it weighs em down.
But for real, I was told to take it real easy in texas cuz the cops dont fuck around.

Idk where you are in Texas but pretty much every highway is guaranteed to have people going 80-90+ in the fast lane.

Probably a lot slower if you are in the city though

If you keep it at 84mph you will never get pulled over
I mostly keep my speed at 90-95 mph and never get pulled over
New Mexico sucks because most freeways are 55-65 mph
I hate driving in New Mexico :beatingtodeath:

I drive about 83-85 most of the time if I'm around Buda/San Marcos area.

It's impossible to go that fast in Austin. I hate Austin traffic with a dying passion.
