Cook your own Steak

So, I'm going to this cook your own steak place in about a half hour, and am looking for some advice. I believe what i like is called medium well, a little pink in the middle.

Now what I'm wondering is what is the tastiest steak out there? considering texture and taste

I hear New York strip is apparently the best, but I'd like some other opinions.

Well choice of steak is a VERY personal choice...but my favorite are sirloin steaks. Thicker the better, though thicker makes it harder to cook past rare/med-rare so if you're not a big fan of rare steak (I AM!) then something like a baseball sirloin (THICK!) might be too much :smirk:

yeah, im not quite savage enough to enjoy a bloody steak, wish i was.

So whats a good, thin, medium well steak?

I would go with the New York strip, in that case.

This post saddens me...I'm fasting right now and I'm probably going to give up beef for a while (along with every other meat except fish) but I love steak SO much.....man...

Flank and skirt steak are my favorites. I just get a nice piece, cook it it med-rare and slowly peel and eat the meat for an hour.
