Nice pictures, Liberto! That forest path area looks really lush, I bet those woods have tons of mushrooms of all kinds.

It depends. I don't hunt them as much as I used to since I rarely indulge in psilocybin these days, my hunting is mostly for the thrill and there are usually good spots for edibles close to my lib spots. The most i've picked in a season was probably ten years ago, more or less 120 grams dried. On average it's probably 50-60 grams, or around a 1000 specimens, give or take. I usually give most of it away.

Some photos from the recent hunts.

Really depends. I don't go out hunting everyday anymore like I used to, but I tend to try to collect as much as I would consider needing to survive throught the harsh Finnish winter and that's usually around a few hundred specimens. The dark perioid can really get to you even as a Finn, so "enhanching the colors" every now and then can make it a less tedious perioid. I think my best seasons has been something between 3000 to 3500 specimens.

What is weird is that only that road has some. 50m to the left or right has many other roads too but have none.

Well, they all go where the best party is, I guess. Or perhaps rather the best substrate.

From soil map it shows Histic Gleysols soil type. Acidic sandy gleysol soil. I have looked up all the soils and now take into consideration also the type of soil they should grow in.

I feel I have betrayed this thread with my lack of posting finds. I have been so busy working, so have hardly had the time to forage much. But I'll try to make up for it with a few pictures nonetheless.

Nice pictures, folks! The expression on that cow (or maybe a young bullock?) is hilarious!
Didn't have that much luck this weekend, found a little here and a little there. Summer won't budge yet, it seems.

Ah that's nice! I also hunt for the thrill of it. Never tried shrooms or psychedelics before, but plan to this fall/winter.. I think I've found about 20g dried and thats more then enough for me.. But then again I just found a new field yesterday so I might pick some more this season. I've had a lot of fun hunting for shrooms!

Yeah hello darkness my old friend.. but damn. 3500 specimens Doubt I could pick such a huge amount
We had our first frost hit us this night. And it's been really dry for the past couple weeks so the season might soon be over here..

Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm way up north in Scandinavia. I found quite a good haul of Psilocybe semilanceata September 15-16, but then temps dropped more and got close to below zero at night the following couple days. Leaf colours turned pretty quickly and everything is a nice red/orange at the moment. I checked again at the usual spots on the 21st but there were almost zero mushrooms of any kind growing in the pastures and surrounding forest (the Deschampsia cespitosa was starting to brown too). There has been quite a lot of rain this weekend and then temps are supposed to climb to 15o day/8o night Monday-Wednesday with some sun. Is it worth going out hunting again? Could there be a second flush of liberties? Or would the near-frost have sent them into a dormant winter?
