It wouldn't have any negative effects if that's what you're worried about. Once it's PC'd it's going to break down into oxygen and water and won't be peroxide anymore. It's actually a waste of time. You're better off soaking your corn overnight, simmering and then PC'ing.

Dead spores.

If it doesn't break down like newfoundFreedom said.

Magash is right, if it did not break down it would kill your spores. Either way it is a waste of time and I do not see any reason at all to be soaking your corn in peroxide. Save it for something usefull.

well, i don't have a pressure cooker, and i only simmered the corn for like an hour or something, and then after straining i mixed it with rye flour, and then i steamed it in a pot for an hour and a half, and then the next day my, cuz my spores came late, i just took out the corn and rye flour mix and placed it in aluminum foil and closed it up, and steamed it separately from the jar for about 30min, and then i took it and put it in the jar for another hour and a half i steamed it. i know you guys can tell this is obviously my first time doing this, haha, but i just wanted to be creative and see if it would work. what do you think?
