Verm or no verm?
    #27460773 - 09/08/21 05:43 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Do tell!

Seems to be a lot of variation on this, even between people consistently producing cloned canopies.

Would love to know.

Thank you.
What do you mix with your spawn?

Coir, verm, manure, a little bit of used coffee grinds and gypsum

Got to get the pasteurization down if you are using manure

typically i run coir and verm, but coir alone works well too.

in the before times i doubt it really made a big difference one way or the other, but the coir lately has been so shitty that i much prefer the consistency with verm added

that said this is not my FAVORITE substrate mix at all, its just the easiest and works great

my favorite would be hpoo + straw + coir + verm, but proper pasteurization takes more work at small scale (especially vs unbucket tek)

I think verm helps in arid areas.

Do you mean via composting, or do you heat it in a pot?
I would love more info.

Thank you!

proper pasteurization

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17246844

it can work without it, but this is the way to make things 100% reliable
