Yes, please come here. No locals can get into National Parks anymore from foreign travelers and years in advance bookings. May the mosquito population drive them away. Can't build anymore in Moab. No more room to do so. And Ted Bundy went to the U of U. BLAH! SCARY! I miss my Summers until Tahoe is out of the picture and last time there 8, so this would make ten years, two women said they were tired of wildfires and smoke.
Good luck on that. The world is flooding and burning. New Jersey guy saying, WE THOUGHT IT WOULD ONLY BE THE COASTS! Blah. I survive.

Since we are super religious here in Utah. Someone actually asked, why did Noah have to include mosquito's on the ark? Guess they snuck in.

Shit, not to that extent.

I agree. Utah is too touristy . I didn't realize Moab was a popular destination site. I was coincidentally on route to pass thru Moab on my drive thru Utah and didn't realize I was about to come up on a tourist town. I realized something was up when traffic picked up and there was a shit ton of jeeps everywhere. Then I realized arches park was right here. No time to stop though, too many people. I just kept going. It's just like that episode of King of the hill., " Here it is boys, the great outdoors". Honk honk honk honk honk! Sadly, there's hardly any solitude in nature anymore. Better luck in a national monument, recreation area or forest. Grand canyon is the same way

Chinese book up it up a year in advance and endless tennis shoe hikers. Hotels are ridiculous and camping can still find a few good ones but those are running out where only hikers will go.
Just boring now and make a reservation for a national park over a year ahead of time for the tourists buses everywhere mostly of asian people. Nothing against them, just boring to me. Oh, I see Utah Nation Park. Great, hey great for you.
PCT, when not burning at section hiking and people that really hike and camp from all over the world of every culture. I miss that. Used to do it every year. Utopia. Friendly people from all over the world that won't steal and are having fun, for the most part, till ashes and like I explained in my last post. Boo hoo. Is life in the modern ages. On with it.
Have pictures and some vids but really it is just letting everything go and being part of it all. Not like you are going to some resort. Just nature at its finest. And is amazing what one finds when back in society how big things become small in one's mind frame.
Time to see Carlin at Eccles today. And dress up but not to much of course. It is nice to enjoy some entertainment and good food after almost a month on the trail. I doubt the whole thing will ever be open again. I give up. Let the world burn. Wait, it already is ha, ha,. Time to laugh at some political jokes and pay some money and get fucked up. On with it. I didn't start the fire. But I have to sleep and sober up before going to where I can still go. Those places in nature and the cities are becoming more and more scarce for some odd reason.
WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE! Shit in the future will be a lot easier for me to adjust then most. Fires, Black Bear an inch by me sleeping, thank god not a grizz, I survive. And learning that water is the only resource that really matters in the world. I can go without food for a month. Water, 3-4 days then pure torture not that it would be great beforehand.
Still. Will be strange to go see this comedian Maher downtown in the fanciest place in my hometown of SLC and dress up and act like the world isn't going to shit but put on a pretence that it is not. Which is kind of his thing but play the charade and he sure as hell will take your money.

I get annoyed by the fact you have to make reservations to camp at these parks. That's means planning and having a definite, dedicated itinerary. I quit doing that a long time ago. I find that what I research and then see in person is not always what I except. It's more interesting to show up into town and find out what's there. When I was in big bend, I couldn't get a campsite even though they were available because I didn't book the night before. I ended up finding a discrete spot to park my car and sleep for the night. On the Bright side though, there are so many other places to explore than national parks. Im actually a bit overwhelmed cause there's so much to do and not enough time to do it all. And I haven't even left the country yet

To be fair all the national parks and hiking trails are facing record numbers of visitors as people who were unable to do their normal routines decided now was the time to take up hiking. Here in the northeast we have had multiple rescues and a few deaths as ill equipped folks venture out on hikes. A few deaths and rescues is not abnormal but has been significantly higher than normal. The white mountains in the northeast are super accessible but people forget that it can turn from a warm sunny day to a hypothermia inducing storm in a matter of minutes at higher elevations. Fortunately for them their cell phones usually work and they can call for a rescue.
