Making a PE/crs F2 swab into spore solution and thought I’d document the process a lil better. These f1’s didn’t drop spores so I had to swab

If you want to see my process for doing it, I layed it out here (didn’t think POTD was appropriate lol) https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27458443#27458443
Spawned these F2’s today… the left ones I GLC’d to 2 qts each yesterday (gonna let them recover a bit before spawning.. probably do it tomorrow) but the right ones I spawned.. the PE/RW I spawned a 1:3 in a sandwich baggie and the PE/apeu I did a 1:2 in a tall half pint with a press n seal lid with a hole poked in the middle.
Made the jars on 8/22 using these Magnetic prints in jars and they broke up easily and smell great and I spawned them in two weeks.. pretty cool.

That's very interesting that the flush didn't drop spore. Looks like they wouldve wanted to lol
I just fruited some KSSS I cloned off a 3.5g dried one...popped out a 90g+ wet fruit which I then cloned

Big ol' APEU chonker. First flush.
Also little bois from APEU first flush! They're cuties imo.
Got some kind of yeast infection? Not sure where it came from, I had it in two tubs this week, never had it before. Smells boozy, pretty weird. Tossing all the fruits that were growing where the puddle was, though it's probably unnecessary.
 7g bars. Looks like poop.

I have a jar of enigma spawn that is mostly empty after being used as a master for g2g. It's been sitting around for a little while. Check out these mycelial networks growing on the side of the glass:

I had a RW x MM pin recently that literally took up half the plate, took that out and then another one grew right back. Clean up time this week

An accidental experiment with gourmet v-tek cased grains. I was using a no prep rgs grain spawn over the summer. I was also having a lot of contamination issues with it when going to bulk. From what I read about pink oyster mushrooms is that they are fast. Not fast enough apparently. Because even when I mixed them with the sawdust substrate, green mold took over quickly. Needless to say, I have changed grain since than.
However, I still had a 3 dozen spawn bags left of fully colonized pink oyster, golden oyster and pe rgs spawn so I decided to pour them into qt deli cups and case with coir. I lost 4 out of 36 pe deli cups but didn't lose any of the oysters. I started bottom watering the pink oyster cups after pins began to grow. I flipped the lid on the tub this morning.

Should I completely take the lid off or do you think the flipped lid is fine for now?

Are you growing them in your tent or external mono exposed to the air? Make sure to maintain the RH as well.

External mono exposed to the air. I have two portable ac units moving air in my basement 24/7. The rh stays between 60 and 70%.

A good setup I found for oysters was the standard monotub 6hole design, but leave the holes open.
