Baba Yaga said: what does it look like after the mist? I think you are not keeping it moist enough and that's why the very top never got colonized. Your pins also radiating a somewhat unhappy aura, that velvety look I mean by this.
I had the suspicion that my grow wasn't healthy... "your pins are radiating an unhappy aura" only solidified my concern!
Before

After

Is this a happier aura to you all?

I would mist it some more, soak the top really well and let it get sucked up by the sub.

Second flush is coming in only 3 days after rehydrating!!

What about the first flush?
I forgot to take a picture of this first flush haha Fortunately, I did record how much the dried harvest was:
Roatan Honduras + 2 pints of verm/BRF (2:1) + coir + 6 qt monotub =
18.5 grams dried!!
Future improvements and grows
The dry zone scuffed this grow. Compared to the fruiting pictures, it's clear that the middle is going to be vacant of fruits for the majority of the fruiting period.

In the future, I'm just going to leave the tub next to my window. That lamp was overkill! I'm pretty happy with the grow though , these Roatan Honduras spores had great genetics, so that helped for sure.
Lastly, I've gone ahead and inoculated Thai Pink Buffalo into some BRF jars. I am going to move on to grains here soon, so I'll start a new thread in the future comparing BRF to birdseed using the same two strains, Honduras and Buffalo.
Thanks for reading!
