Cultivation Question

This is what I have so far:
-2 ten gallon blue totes with lids
-1 bag of Vermiculite (8.8 dry quarts)
-10 lb. bag of Wild Bird Seed
-30 Tyvek envelopes
-A package (of 12) of 1 quart widemouth canning jars

This is what I need to get:
-1 fish tank heater
-A bag of Peat Moss
-2 foil or plastic trays
-A pressure cooker
-A 12cc Spore Syringe from TLG (of Orissa India)

Do I need anything else?

Here is my pre-setup:







On the bottom rack, there will be a humidifier ( http://www.belowcostappliances.com/humidifiers/DF-5.html ) with a clear hose running up to the side of the totes. (I have 2 totes, I just didn't put the other one in the picture) And also for the humififier, I am getting a Light Timer ( http://www.energyfederation.org/consumer/default.php/cPath/39_417_136 ) Then, I have a nice small fluorescent light that I got for free (it's sitting on the rack below the top one).

Now once I get better at this, I will move to a bigger size tote. Notice that that tote is damn small (it's a 10 gallon).

If you have anything (info wise) that would help me, even a little, I would appreciate it very much.

if you're using burdseed don't get 1/2 pints gets quarts, the teks on the main page should tell you everything you need. also it depends on how you set up.

oh you're really gonna want to use a pressure cooker if you're using grains, really :stoned:

btw cultivation questions go in the cultivation forum... weird hun  :tongue:

u dont need them bricks to sep the totes
when u put 1 tote inside the other the water will rise to the side the higher the water is and more of the tote it gose up to the better your heat will be even
if that makes any sence im not to good at explaining things

Look on ebay for ur Humidifier. I have the same one in the link you posted, but I got it for $4 plus $4 for shipping. Good luck.

Hey,
Sorry to jack this but this is the second thread today I've read under cultivation mentioned one of our beloved sponsor vendors.
TLG and the other vendors spores are used for viewing under the microscope only, not for cultivating!
let's keep those vendors in business please...
