Is LSD sentencing still based on weight?
    #2744821 - 05/29/04 06:22 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

I know it used to be, but it seems like that was overturned a few years ago.

Doze anybody here know what the current sentencing guidelines are for LSD?

Hope they dont sentence based on 'hits' :frown:

Is there any truth to the rumor that for every hit of acid, or any other drug you possess (or maybe sell) you get a charge of manslaughter?

No thats a myth beacuse many people were receiving very long sentences. Its funny though that they chose manslaughter because in most cases the sentances would much much longer than manslaughter.

Back in the day they charged by weight. What you wouldnt expect is that with things such as sugar cubes they count the intire weight. So you could have just a few hits but be charged as if you had millions. It was a bad time to deal.

Actually, I think they do charge based on estimated weight of the LSD. It's carrier weight you're thinking of. I'm pretty sure they did away with carrier weight laws.

Even back in the 60s it averaged around 250 ug. 400 is out of control. Then again, so is all the information that goes through the government.

Yeah,I heard some Deadheads took it to court and somehow they did some experiments where they found that the theorectical saturation point on a quarter inch blotter was 400 mcg (I'd like to find some of these).

If I ever get busted with ecstasy I'm going to tell them they better subtract the binders in pills.

People think that if you just say the word "hallucinations" it explains everything you want it to explain and eventually whatever it is you can't explain will just go away. It's just a word,it doesn't explain anything...
