After neglecting mine I have been watering and moving them away from direct sunlight. I have no mature fruits just the beginnings.
The sun has enough power now to cook in one day when not adding water.

Hahaha this made me laugh. In Washington state there is supposedly a sting operation for picking but you are allowed to bite them off the ground.
Also nice cultivated pins

Squeezing this in before the season closes, Psilocybe something from May. Try looking in reverse, it loaded in the wrong order. Last two are older and maybe ??? the same species. Which isn't P. tasmaniana it turns out.

Hey Elle, is there more than one species pictured? I'm curious to know, I'm a total noob. Looks like 2 or 3 different kinds? Do you know the name?

I'm pretty sure these are the recently sequenced new species I've mentioned a couple of times. Thanks for putting these up here nzelle! I think I remember seeing somewhere that one of the people you found these with has done a bioassay (think that's the term). Anything to report there? Also some suspicion that there was more than one new species in the mix. Some of the photos I've seen have had some crazy deep blue, stunning. You guys had quite the season. Now I'm going to lower the bar slightly with my driveway shroom, which appears to have stalled growth wise.

That's what we've been asking ourselves for months, I think only one species is pictured here. I think it's the one we sent away for DNA analysis. It's a bit hard to say for sure, everything in a few metre radius looked like a different species, but it seems it just grows weird. It came back as Psilocybe, most closely related to P. stuntzii, but almost as closely related to P. angulospora. It's in section Semilanceatae (spelling). It's 11 bases from P. stuntzii and 15 from P. angulospora. Doesn't have a name, didn't match anything.
This is P. stuntzii (super variable species apparently)
This is P. angulospora
This is more of what was there, I think it's older. The caps opened up, has a slight nipple, it's angulospora shaped. Greyish purple brown spore prints. Grey mottled gills. Red or gold in the stems, which can be quite silky and twisted.

Here's a potplant maybe P. tasmaniana from yesterday, in honour of lockdown and this sacred thread.

Yep I'd say it's them. ITS sequenced. It was a mixed collection, I have most of the ones pictured still so I can and will check. And get some microscopy for it that people can access. Quote:

Lots of greenish-blue. I know these look like a different species again, they're probably not, probably the same thing.
This P. stuntzii looking P. tasmaniana (?) was the other thing there.
And this, it became more tasmaniana-y.

This fine specimen when I uncovered it, was tucked tightly under the collar of a healthy flax on a south facing slope.

The orange ones are subs. The color is really crap in this pic, they were actually way lighter with obvious bruising and bluing. I had just washed them all so not sure if that contributed to how the color in the pic looks. And yes the others are weraroa. Was surprised to find them in growing in woodchips.

Okay, not trying to hassle. Just want to make sure you're sure. Can be high consequences for getting it wrong.

Haven't ventured down the drive to check out mr shroom today. These are yesterday's pictures.
How's everyone's lockdown going? I'm finding a dollop of cannabutter in the coffee each morning helps days ease past.

All good, I appreciate your advice.
My lockdown is hard. I'm an essential worker but it's my day off so struggling to motivate my kid to do home schooling. Went for a walk, found a great spot of probably thousands of mostly pins, but bought home a small haul. Praying for rain in hopes it plumps up those babies.
