I liked this image, it's a tub of Rusty White, you can see one fruit grew tall enough and I guess formed a seal with the top of the tub so it didn't get spores on top. Neat.

Depends how bad it is, I'd probably just open them up and add a layer of coir.

Thanks, it's not too bad just kinda stalled a little but finally managed to get to 100%, I'll try some with just some coir added on top and save 2 to mix up and fruit in the bag, can't lose much if they fail anyhow.

Also moist paper towels to catch spores is one of the most helpful things I've read in a while thanks for sharing Munch!

getting sick of uneven pinsets, will overhead lighting and shelves fix this? for more evenly distrubted airflow and lighting

i've been super anal about my subs being both level and of equal depth across, so it's not that, and i mix really well before topdressing

Did for me

Level is probably the biggest factor though, but even airflow and lighting seem important too

Then again some cultures just never want to fruit evenly, and others seem to do it no matter what you do wrong

But for me personally everything got a lot more even when i started using shelves and lighting

I'm with you man. I think it's genetics and surface conditions. I'm trying to get a good clone of a nice cluster in search of an even canopy.

I believe it comes down to ideal surface evaporation rate and genetics. I have had full canopies from sloped substrates more than once. I have also had full canopies with finger indentations from leveling the surface after spawning. Neither one of those factors seemed to make any difference.

I stack my tubs to the ceiling, and have lights coming in the sides. Hasn't been an issue for me. You can see my setup in this video.

a few tubs that you see in that video
