Hi fellas, it’s quite early and i didn't expect any p. semilanceata. Today i went to visit my forest path, to check the moisture and grass growth. I was shocked when i saw that my forest path fruiting like crazy. First time picking so early. I have a good feeling that this season is coming huge!

Damn, that's a nice haul and it's still pretty early! Think I need to go check some of the hunting grounds soon. Congratulations ST1R and have a great season!

Alright okay! Look at that! Very nice, and very inspiring!
I haven't checked my early spots yet, but this gives me a kick in the nuts to go sniffing quite soon.
Please keep'em coming!

Wow, very nice finds. So I'm guessing this species doesn't commonly blue?

Some collections do blue quite nicely, others not at all or just very little.

No finds in south-east Norway as of yet at least sadly, although I didn't really expect to find any this early

Hello, first time hunter, I live in outer stockholm. Is it too early in the season to find them now?
Thank you, John

Three specimens observed today at the edge of a dryish mossy forest path. Only one photo thought due to some issues with my phone.
Also my friend from the Finnish forums has already his lawn full of them.

Hello,
Ah nice. I was under the impression to look in open fields but you say forest paths. What type of forest, mixed trees or all year greens/pine? I have maybe foolishly looking in open grass areas.
As I said first time hunting so any/all tips would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

So, inspired by this thread I had to get out this evening and check the forest path that gave me such a pleasant surprise last year already in July. And sure enough, despite a month long draught, after the last three nights of showers they have arrived once again.
Not in great numbers yet, but promising I'd say.
I think I ended up with about twice the amount as that in this last picture. These had obviously just started coming up, check the babies in the third pic.

Greetings from Northern Finland!
These and many other nice clusters were also found from a forest path, open grasslands still seem too dry.
