Neither blob so I’d just leave them alone. Should be easy to tell if they cross lol.

I'll leave them as they are, just keeping an eye on surface moisture. Two of six plate pin clones showed traits of both (albinism, thick and dense stipes, early breaking veil and "herpes" below the cap). I'm curios, how they grow out. Clone bags are ready to fruit withing the next few days...

Haha. I always choose clones with the most gnarly stipes that I can find. I'll always think of them as having herpes now.

Here are my two Melmak TP shoeboxes that are starting to fruit. This is my first Melmak attempt, from a commercial swab, and I have to say the genetics are pretty interesting.

The size of these things is sort of mind blowing compared to any other cubes I've grown, even though they're only just starting out. The shoeboxes both started making blobs for a few days before the mushrooms started coming up under them, so now some blobs are mushroom hats. The strangest thing is the one in the middle of the back of the second shoebox. It's hard to see in the pic, but it looks like an upside down mushroom with an absolutely vertical column of stem growing up.
Waiting to see how big these things get...

Update on my tub that was producing blobs:
After removing the blobs I rehydrated the surface and then left the tub alone for a few days. To my surprise, they ended up producing great-looking mushrooms! Super happy with how these turned out!

Is it OK to use an XLS-T with the.2 micron filter to fruit so I can spawn in it as well, or does the smaller micron affect air exchange too much for fruiting? Trying to think of why I'd buy the.5s over the.2s if I can use them for either/or. Also, have any of you heard of a strain of Melmac called "PS-1"? I got a culture from someone who is no longer around, and it's really potent. THanks!

Taking these down tomorrow. Spawned 7/13

Probably will let both of these go another 48 hours or so.

Can you let them go "too" long?
I've read to harvest them when they're squishy but since these tubs aren't flushing uniformly some are ready and others are not.
Input would be greatly appreciated.

I let em ride till I'm gonna harvest them all together. Occasionally there's like one big fruit a week ahead of the rest and so sometimes that gets taken earlier than the rest.

Nice tubs man!

As far as timing goes they are much more forgiving, dont sweat it. Its not like they will spore dump on you.

What kind of yields are you guys getting from a 66qt tub? I recently pulled what I thought was going to be a rather poor yield from RWxMM, but even with so few fruits I managed a little over 4oz dry (a large cluster was harvested a few days before this pic). Can only imagine how much a full canopy would weigh.

Josex said: My Yeti clone is full of shit tho lol They're terribly slow and the first flush is a joke not even worth hasvesting. It's almost as if the colony needed to purge a little before pulling out the good stuff for the second flush.
That second flush is something incredible though, and potency is even greater than the APE I used to grow in the past. The trip off of 2g felt like a full-blown LSD experience.
Have you tried casing? I hear this a lot about yeti, never grown it though.
