In rap music there are 4 sections east, west, midwest and down south. You have never heard big or dmx or rr refer to where there from as the north. When that EAST and west thing was going i didnt here big say he was repin the north. did you? the people that are from the east coast may refer to a state north of them as north as dmx does often. The term up north Is not what you think it is you need a bit more history on rap before you speak on it. P.s i can bet you that im alot older than you and have way more history in rap music than you. I have met with many chicago rapers and they would say you need a slap. I was in the studio while do or die was recording there po pimpin for like 3 months 5 days a week the other 2 days were sleeping. I have met pac and spent time with him i have many pictures to prove it. Twista i met through do or die. met dam dash ,scarface, e 40, c bo and last but not least dmx back stage hes a fag O and humpty i have spent 3 days with about 4 years ago.
I know history on it man.

Guy i know what im saying what do you think rapers are hard to get at? anyhow you have no history i can tell and another question if your right how come NORTH has not one vote? People in here dont like jay z or 50cent? There not west or south so according to your poll jay z and 50 and nas and dmx and some of the hottest rappers out right now are under your north selection.
NO one likes them? there only the some hottest rapers in the past 5 years.

When they talk about Up North I'm pretty sure they mean the northern part of their burrough. Like Mobb Deep's song Up North Trip and shit like that.
