I thought so and I noticed in pics online sometimes they have the rounded leaves like that too. One of my bags that is White ones the skinny seedlings are a darker redish color.
Big thanks going out to The Tao and MadMuncher for the good seed hook up.

Happy to help out. Glad they sprouted for you. I like those bags you picked up. They should work well. Hope the season is productive for everyone.

I had an interesting time of things this year. I saved seed from last year and had set aside seed from the biggest plant. Was going to use choice seed for this year and give the rest away. I started two plants outside. I thought I was crazy early and they probably weren't going to make it. They are my best plants currently.
I wasted the rest of the choice seed sowing too late. They were carried off by ants. I was forced to start them in containers with the seed I had intended to give away. Most of them survived, but they will be on the smaller side.
I think I might try a fall planting this year. Going to start much earlier next year. Pictures soon.

That's just stunning Generic Hero, I heard talk of the smell of the petals and I always read that picking them off will not harm the plant, and also should be collected. Almost like how you want to pick the garlic scapes so more energy goes to the bulb/clove. Garlic( hardneck elephant types) and poppies both have that lighter green color so for the inconspicuous gardener could slip a few in. But I quit it long ago. I love the poppy and will grow it when I'm older hopefully but dang opiates are a beast that I'd rather avoid.

What's really interesting is even to this day, years and years and years after my last glass of poppy tea, I still dream about it at night sometimes. Crazy how powerful it can take a functional human being down. And I never touched the hard H shit, like never spiked or smoked ... just poppy tea, way back when you could order pods on Ebay.

Did you form a habit? I like to think I have self-discipline but poppies seem like a force to be reckoned with.

I'm just wondering, I would like to try pod tea but don't want to form a habit.

Don't grow a lot. Let it be a nice once-per -year thing, like a birthday, or new year. I like to keep some around in case I get a stomach bug. Very nice for stomach ailments.Quote:

Beautiful! Nice that you can plant out front and people can enjoy them. Tag says it’s suppose to be Blue Afghan but I don’t think so. I wrote the tag.

Damn! That’s a healthy looking pot. I don’t know how you’re going to thin it out but it’s happy.
