WeBeTrippyMane, Awesome one!
I think that it is not an anomaly. I know a place where they are bloody huge. This one is 20g wet too. Maybe is it another strain?
And the biggest one which I found last year was 40g wet!
what substrate did you pick that from?? fuckin' romper lmao, good shit! the one my friend picked only just opened its cap, I have picked 40g wet subs myself before with large stems and umbrella like caps but the one i posted, i was more intrigued by the thickness of the stem, I have never seen anything like it, was like a piece of balsa wood. it was growing on the roots of an extremely old eucalypt, same substrate by any chance??

Hi Guy's and Girls.
I'm done for the season. I hope you've had success .
To the new hunters, I hope you've found some magic mushrooms, but if you didn't.... please don't give up. As I said before.... it can sometimes take 2 or so years before any success (for many hunters this is the norm).
My advice is to look at (over the coming months) older Victoria Active Threads and to go right through them from page 1 to the very last (reading every post). This is helpful for a few reason, first you get to see many pictures of subs (magic mushrooms) and second is that occasionally someone will post very good advice. I found that Vic Threads from around 2005 to 2015 are really good to learn from. Other then that I encouraged you to use the remainder of this season to ask any questions you have on this site.
Persist and you will succeed
Have a good rest of the year. See you all next time .

Very cool video Blessed.
Also amazing to see so many giant subs. Would love to see them cloned. Obviously not allowed so no one should do this, and then not post about it
In my mind it could be a number of things, substrate, genetics, environmental conditions or even a response to some type of bacteria. Very interested to work it out.
Hope I never find one and don't clone it.

Hi Mycospasm welcome. No replies for 10 days, the season is really ending here in Tassie. I found 4 old subs at a patch I know today but I think with the weather the way it is you might have to wait until next year to find your first batch.

Hi people,
I know it's the tail end of the season here in Tas, but I was wondering if any one knows of any areas which are known for late fruiting. Was trapped interstate and just got back recently.
Cheers

Welcome to the Shroomery. I doubt anyone would be willing to give up their hunting locations to someone who has just joined the site. You shouldn’t be asking anyways as it is against the forum rules.

Hello!
I was wondering if anyone knows about indigenous use of Psilocybe use in Tassie?

Just a heads-up that, unlike in the United States, spore prints of Psilocybe are illegal in Australia.
One would be breaking the law to do this thing.
At least it's possible to send local stuff anonymously but be aware you're asking people to break the law.
