Anybody use fans inside their tents or grow rooms to help eliminate pockets of stale air?

I don't need one in the 5x5 tent but if I was using something bigger such as a 4x8 or 5x10, I would definitely consider it.

I have an 7x7 grow tent. And have a constant Hepa filter on the lowest setting positively pressurizing my tent, it’s up high and points that fresh air directly at a mini waterproof fan that is pointed at the humidifier output. The hepa runs 24/7. And the mini fan runs 12/12 with the lights, it also cools the LED lights, not that they get any more than warm. I’ve also got a waterproof in-line fan on Brownbears schedule of 1 minute every 20. This drops my humidity to like 89, but over the next 5-10 min it rises right back up to 92% this seems to be working great except for when I over tend to them. Otherwise when I forget about them and come back their is a forest. Just can’t let em sporulate. Whenever I intervene I slow the process. Automation is rewarding. I might add that before I had this constant circulation I had stale air problems, I could just feel it when I went in the tent, it wasn’t fresh. Now it’s like a breath of fresh air in there every time!

Did you crunch the math? Leaving it on 24/7 seems much easier. How much FAE per hour? Am I reading this right? You have two intakes, one 24/7 and one 1m ON/1m OFF?
I am planning to install this in the following order:
Furnace pre-filter > B > A > Tent.
A. https://www.acinfinity.com/hvac-home-ventilation/inline-duct-fan-systems/cloudline-t8-quiet-inline-duct-fan-system-with-temperature-and-humidity-controller-8-inch/

Okay wow so I just looked into it. The hepa filer has a rating of 5 Air exchanges per hour at a 183 square foot room, not cubed. My tent is 7x7 so 49 square feet... 183 divided by 49 is 3.7 and 3.7x 5 air exchanges per room is 18.5 air exchanges per hour. But that doesn’t specify which fan speed, and the low is drastically less then the high. So say the low is a third the high and they used full blast for the test I would only be getting 6 air exchanges per hour. And at a nice low pace. Calculating in the exhaust fan on 1 minute every 20 I think that I remember getting 8 air exchanges per hour on the low setting I run. On top of that I have a fan blowing fresh mist around in sync with light 12/12. You mean I should leave that internal fan on 12/12? Or the hepa pushing air in? Cuz since that’s on 24/7 there is always fresh air coming in. But it’s not as circulated in the night with the small mini mist fan off. Mist still be pumping tho. The tent doesn’t seem to get under humid, if anything I am dealing with wet surface, that’s why I increased FAE.

I think the best way to do it is check the CFM of the fan, then do the math for the cubic square footage of the room. I guess there is no such thing as too much FAE?

Not as long as you can stay in the correct rh range.

Isn't simply monitoring CO2 the best route?

It very well could be. You could have an exhaust fan hooked up to an environmental controller box that turns on and off depending on co2 levels. I know they make them for growing cannabis but cannabis is setup for the opposite reason.

Edit: You could get just a co2 monitor for just over $100 to observe the co2 levels in the room and adjust your intake fan cycles accordingly. But in my setup, I don't think it is neccessary.

I believe so. However I can't find sources on what is the optimal C02 levels.
