@HUNTRESS - be careful of slugs - you do not want to eat them as they can contain a rat parasite that destroys your brain and you become a vegetable. If you dried them all good. As Sam has said, you should dry them and test the dose, this is medicine - you need to be methodical unless you are happy to surrender to a heavy experience.

Yikes! Yuck, slugs are disgusting and I would never even contemplate eating them, but now I know that I'll never even entertain the idea should it occur 🤮
@Sam, were your avos growing in a public place? I didn't get any pics unfortunately. One of them was so dark blue after picking it looked like a blueberry. I'm wondering if that was the wormy one since it was presumably so damaged by worms.
I've dried my remaining secos, but I actually prefer the weraroa fresh as the texture is really pleasant, kind of like chewing gum in a tea. The fresh secos had more slimy feel and more crunch to them. I didn't find them as delightful.

Pretty sure these are not active, but I like taking pictures of interesting specimens and trying to identify them. These are the only pics I've taken this week. What surprised me was the size of them. All were found outside a school, and the orange ones I found growing out of wood up a very steep grassy bank I'd climbed for the view.

Well I still have some mushrooms growing.
   
There are some more pins coming through as well, so we are not at the end of the season yet it would seem.
Everyone else seems to be doing well for themselves as well it looks like. Some excellent hunting has been happening.

Just a question around redistribution of stems, do they need to have mycelium attached at the base or should I cut it off and replant just the stem?

I have had success with just using stems with no mycelium attached. I have split them length wise and just pushed into the substrate.

The base of the stem is what you want to "plant". The bit where the mycelium is growing. In theory any part of the mushroom can grow mycelium but the bit where it already is gives you the best chance of success, plus you want to eat the good bits right.
I would use the bottom half of this and eat the top half.
Woodlovers United is a great group on the FB. lots of info on growing, mostly it's American folks but a few very knowledgeable nzers, including one of our more cryptic members. All the information regarding the American woodloving species works with ours as they are very closely related. It's a private group so you can post and ask questions without your wider FB people knowing that you're a total waster...
Oh and no my avo spot is not on public land. It's on an empty section which has had a bit of landscaping done but is not yet built on. This has also been one of my best shroom spots. Very little has been done there since I found it at the beginning of last season.... so I'm taking those shrooms.

Found some dried out shrooms I think are subs. Trying to get a spore print in hopes of growing.

I don't think that you be getting a spore print from those, they look far to dry.
Something does not look quite right to me. Also the stem is putting be of in the picture above as well. Are those stems solid?

@jimpster bro if you wanna tell some of you RL mates some spots or even PM some dude on here all good, but don’t blow up spots - some hunters especially new ones might only have one spot and they did the work to find it - they went on the journey and then you blow it up and some nobody noob cunt can ghost the forum and not do the work and raxxxxxx the spot. I recon looking at the first picture they are dry subs and to me they are blued , the second picture looks less like subs but still seems to show some bluing.
I’d do an ID request so you have peace of mind.
