 Protocol before/after taking entheogens

1. Eat no non-organic foods 1 week before, 5 days after entheogenic experience.
2. No sex, this inculdes all form, 3 days before, 2 days after.
3. Stay healthy and organic in diet, get outdoors and stay fit 1 week before and after as long as you can.
4. Do not take drugs or take things like tabbaco and coffee 1 week before and 1 week after. Cannabis is appectable though.
5. No extremities of foods, no spicy or hot foods, 3 days before and 3 days after. Also no greasy or salty foods. Drink lots of water.
6. No foul speaking.
7. Fast from all foods for 24 hours before (If wanted, one can do a speaking fast for 24 hours before of slience).
8. Do whatever you do to 'be' who you are and what is sacred to you.
9. Love life.
10. Show self compassion.

Aren't all foods carbon based?
I guess I can kind of see the sex thing.
Being healthy does make a person feel better.
Where's number four?
I think spicy foods are ok if your digestive system can handle it.
As long as it's true to how you feel, no speech is bad speech.
Being hungry makes me uncomfortable and causes me to have uncomfortable trips. Being hungry is unproductive.
Rituals are important.
Loving life is key.
That's my take on your list.
My protocol is to make sure I have no appointments that day or the next. I like to arrange it so their's no interruptions during the experience too. I find it important to be straight with oneself about issues on your mind before imbibing said sacraments. Surround yourself with quality people or none at all. I like to sleep, eat, and write the day after. Taking time to reflect is very important. Everyone's different though.

your no sex doesn't jive with other cultures. taoist they would say several weeks. i think the ayahuasca shamans say at least 5 days before and after to a year before and i forget how long after.
i also very much disagree with your cannibis and no tobacco. i'm going to have to say use other plants with discretion, make sure to make offerings of whatever plants you feel you need to use in conjunction.
also on saliva i was told that plants like it when you fast for good periods of time (more than a day). i never had a breakthrough, but i only got any "effects" after i fasted for a week.

I still think hunger is too distracting. I don't think I could get any good thinking done while I'm worried about trying not to eat.

A regimental guide to the entheogen experience may be beneficial for psychonauts exploring innerspace on large doses. But I don't think such a regimen is necessary for those of us more interested in discovering a greater satisfaction and/or happiness within the circumstances we find ourselves in, to discover the joy in all the little things like relationships with family,each other, the environment, and our roles in it.
