Investing In the Collapse of Society
    #27402364 - 07/26/21 03:56 AM (2 years, 6 months ago)

What is everyone's take on this?

Taking right or wrong out of the equation, I'm wondering if it makes any difference. Something could be said about investing in Springfield, Rock Island Armory, Smith & Wesson, ect. Explaining how guns influence society of course depends where you stand on the political spectrum so I get that much.

But would you perpetuate the fall of civilization by say investing in something trivial like Nestlé Purina?

To explain, less children are being born in America and the gender divide has never been greater. When women, (including men) don't have kids and/or a companion, they usually get a cat or dog to try and fill that need.

So what do you think? Would you invest?

Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Revelation 3:11
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

If society collapses, wouldnt all financial systems go with it?

Whats the point of fiat then?

Indeed.  If there were to be a true collapse, having a defensible homestead and reliable access to food and water are the only pertinent considerations.

Right but until then can someone address profiting in the meantime?

I think you need to rephrase your thesis because youre asking about what stocks to invest when society collapses, but there wont be stocks, or a need for fiat cash, if that happens.

If you want to invest on emotional swings by the cattle in this country, you can follow basic plays during election years.

Is a Democrat going to win? Invest in gun and weed stocks.
Is a Republican going to win? Invest in gun stocks, sell puts on weed stocks.

I'm asking if investing in something trivial that isn't nessacarily contributing to the collapse of society but has a place somewhere in it. I'm trying to guage where that place is as well as its magnitude.

This is so I can figure out if my investment is right or wrong from a philosophical standpoint.

Companies that make sleeping pods they stack on top of eachother for people to live in, companies that produce bug based foods,
Surveilance and facial recognition tech. Golfing industry etc...

Since were all gonna live in pods and eat bugs while the political elite hang out on beaches and play golf :super:

Hear me out on this. I don't know shit about investing or stocks but I have heard that it could be decent to invest in Indian and Chinese companies since those countries are emerging and growing. I was dating a guy who was significantly older than me and he used to have investments before 2008 when he got fucked over but he said all the top investors are investing in Indian and Chinese companies because there is a lot of growth over there.

Right now I'm reading stock exchange for dummies but it said that all of America's fast growth was in the 90s and early 2000s. It is going to be difficult to find a company in America that is going to have the same type of fast growth that companies had in the 90s and early 2000s.

What do you guys think?

Shiithead..

When Babylon falls, it will go in waves, in stages. There will be shortterm catastrophies that will be quickly sudued, think days or weeks primarily.

This is why I say: Put 1 month of supplies in your home so your family can camp out at home without having to leave it. People think of food and toilet paper (hopefully in that order!) but its also, having money for a month, a first aid kit, your drugs and medicines your household needs, stuff like that.

If you have maybe a few thousands to invest, that is a good investment. Fod prices will increase. if you skip a paycheck, you can pay rent AND eat like royalty! If suddenly all banks are closed and ATMs are blocked, you got lets say $1000 in small bills, water off your back. If there is unrest, not only have you no need to leave the home but, you upgraded the degree to which you can lock up your home: you got bolts on the door and that invisible plastic anrtivandalism foil on your window that takes minutes of chopping with a crowbar before someone can enter through it.

You're prepared!

Your house is safer, better stocked, better heat insulation to conserve energy, your home is more of a castle to your family.

Your measures protect you against personal and societal economic setbacks, it protects against getting sick, getting sacked, and it saves you money on your expenses of living.

Thats a brilliant way to spend a few thousands.

Know another good way for more money?

Invest in companies that provide quality canned and jar foods. Vegetables, fish etc. people will always eat but people will increasingly STOCK UP so if you have stock in what thet eat and stock up.. you profit!

Its highly ethical to invest into producers of preserved foods. If these catastrophies are coming, your investment goes into the infrastructure of foods that will end up keeping people alive - increasing its capacity to serve people with what they really need.

Most people will need a stack of boxes of cans more than a S&W.

Its far more ethical, in the face of catastrophy, to invest in the lifeline of foods distribution than in merchants of death.

Babylon WILL burn.
