Looks like you’ve got a pretty sweet spot.
Is that van wrapped or just stenciled and spray painted??

I'm really lucky to have some help with my living arrangements. I mean I still live with my family, but I help as much as I can ha. Hopefully we will have our own land soon and I can really make a long term grow area. It's just a little hatchback, sanded and painted with tape and stencils

Tonight's the last night to enter for the 2x4x6 secret jardin tent giveaway with electric sky v300.
It's a kit I bought and it cost me a pretty penny. Anyway I figured I'd bring it up again and try to get one of us some free shit. Here's link

openmind said: Question about the growth of roots.
Do cannabis plants continue to expand their roots through out their entire life, through their different phases of growth? Or does most root development/expansion occur during vegetative growth?
Reason I ask...The sherblato clones I got have a relatively small root system compared to the overall size of the plant. I put them into the ground about a week ago, I am just wondering how much effort/energy a plant will put into developing/expanding roots when it is about to transition into flowering and through out flowering in general. Do plant roots still grow/expand through out flowering? More than anything I want those plants to drop some roots into the ground even if they don't grow up much larger in size, having a proper/well established root system is so crucial for quality flowers/resin (and plant health in general, obviously)
A random rambling update....
I will be taking down one of my Strawberry Mango Crumble tomorrow morning before sunrise.
As of this morning my Mango Smile looks like it is damn near done, I'm going to give it at least another day or two. It is starting to get a bit of a "chemical" smell (like glue & acetone) to it that I really like, I find those chemical-like notes seem to make other fruity notes "pop" more.
Once I harvest those two plants their pots will be available again so I plan on starting another SMC and another MS lol.
One of the Sherblato clones I have looks like it has decided to go back into flowering instead of switching back into veg, the other one appears to be going back into vegetative growth.
All of my other clones are looking great, lush electric green and packing on a lot of growth each day.
My Creme de la Chem should be try enough to start trimming within 3 days or so....I have one lil nug I pulled off the plant to dry quicker that I will probably smoke in a bit here. The flowers on this plant look so damn good. I can tell this plant would be excellent for hash.

Such a bummer, sorry to hear man.
Assuming you knocked up those plants specifically for breeding.

Yep, I breed with a friend and this batch was all Jungle Muffin, Jungle Mac(capulator) x Peanut Butter Muffin(my mom)
Only managed to save 4 seeds from a plant covered in seeds, quite devastating but hopefully one of the 4 is a keeper.

It’s not much but I’m pretty proud of this plant. Managed to keep it healthy the entire time and did a decent amount of topping and training.
Last night I noticed that it seemed really compacted and realized that it had slowly been pulling the ties inward over time. I redid them and it really opened it up, too bad I didn’t notice weeks ago.

Idk why it’s so slow, today is 9 weeks since flip. The buds are like twice as frosted as any of the other plants though so it’s fine by me

Some plants don't produce large buds, it's just in the genetics. Doesn't mean it won't be some fine bud.
Good job buddy, it looks great!

Thanks man.
It’s so weird the variety from the same seeds.
The others are in the home stretch and this ones pistils are just barely starting to turn orange at 9 weeks. Definitely wasn’t expecting that out of indica dominant seed

Well, I found a home for the 2 plants I have. We'll be moved by mid September and that would leave another 3-4 weeks before they'll be done. A good friend of mine who used to be a grower is taking them plus we don't want them here while the house is showing even though it's legal. They're coming to get them this afternoon. I just don't feel that's a good selling point for everyone, only certain people, lol!

Last 2 pics from me, I might get them to take some bud pics for me hopefully if they live and they finish them well.

Well that’s kinda sad having to give up plants with so much potential.
At least they’re going to a good home.

The plant going purple doesn’t look great, but the buds look super tasty

Finally got manicure scissors, dry trimming is pretty rough. Think I’m gonna stick to wet after these dark ass buds.

I always trim wet if I have time. If not I trim dry with my hands and gloves, almost like those tumbler trimers, just better. But even then it doesn't get it that perfect, I'll always trim my bowls again before I load then ha. I had a buddy who used yo like to leave on a little leaf to act like a trichone barrier

Lookin good AKA!
DRY OR WET TRIM? TESTING THE WATERS!
Just came back from vacation. Even though I have a little guy and almost a teenager, I found ample time on our camping trip to thoroughly try out my Shekinah, of which I dried a significant amount prior to trimming (about 10 grams is my guess), while my regular MO is a wet trim.
I already tried the strain a week before from a couple buds that seemed ready for a tasting at the time. I let the rest ripen off, then cut it and trimmed most of it wet, then dried it all, leaving the buds just under the main cola with their leaves on. The top part of the main cola I did trim the leaves off but I was extra careful not to touch the buds much.
To get well acquainted with the quality of a dry trim, I first smoked the bag of dry trim, leaving the last joint, smoking a joint of the wet trim, then after that the last dry trim joint got rolled and marked side by side with a wet trim example, followed by smoking them side by side, a few puffs of the one, compared to a few puffs of the other.
After such a thorough testing, I can honestly say, the difference in quality is so damn minimal I couldn't objectively discern it. Neither could I observe any difference in potency.
I do always handle my buds with care when trimming them, even if they are trimmed wet, so I guess that might be part of why I have little difference in quality, but honestly I didn't measure ANY better effect, flavor, smoothness or looks, nor worse for that matter, except in the category of looks, where I have to say wet trim scores a shitload higher in my opinion, but I would argue looks are partly subjective preferential. To express it in objectively comparable qualities I would say the wet trimmed buds are more sparkly and have a more open and clear look to them because the view of the flowers is not obscured by many leaf parts that became too hard to trim away in the dry trimmed buds. The dry trimmed buds have a more natural look to them, call it a pretty stone where neatly polished it would have the sparkle of a diamond. So my preference still goes out to wet trim, albeit a careful wet trim. The use of tumbler trimmers should be banned to mass production facilities, it has no place in any serious cannaisseur's toolbox.
To the many people who like to argue that wet trimming kicks more trichomes off, I would argue that dry trichomes are much more brittle, falling off more easily than when still filled with their juices, when the trichome stalks are still more supple and resistant to knock-off.
To the people who state drying slower is better, well, I live in a humid environment, where I often need to use a dehumidifier to get to the point where branches snap. If your buds dry too fast, a better solution might be to raise RH, instead of allowing a decrease in quality of buds by allowing lower quality dry leaf debris to contaminate and obscure the high quality flower.

Thanks guys.
I always thought the main difference was wet cure looks much cleaner like you said, you can get to the leaves easier and then what’s left dries up and sucks into the bud.
There’s a good chance if I end up with more dry untrimmed bud that I’ll just cure the whole thing and trim as I smoke through it. I do think dry trim buds look cooler a lot of the time.
Now I just need to pour some iso into the trim jar and see what comes out. I got a nice hit of hash off the tiny scissors just from trimming that 10g.

Pro tip: 10 sec intervals when swishing the iso around, after those 10 secs pour off over a screen over a filter, immediately throw the green back into the jar and do another 10 secs with another iso wash, evap and keep seperately, the first will be stellar, the second not so much. Third wash usually isn't worth the iso.

I have dry weights now on the stuff I put through the machine trimmer. When I hand trim dry I remove about 1/3 of the weight (10g bud stick turns into ~7g of nugs and 3g of stem/leaf). The machine only removed 1/4. So it visually and physically isn't getting it as good, and some of the stuff it is taking is calyxs and trichome heads, but not bad for 1/10th of the work. Was 340g of popcorn so there's probably about an ounce of leaf left in there. I'm super anal about trimming, takes me 2-3 hours to hand trim an ounce. The popcorn takes longest. So that's probably 36 hours of work done in 2. I still scraped up the trichome kief that sifted out and smoked it. Smells pretty good. I put a couple fans in the drying tent to keep the air flowing more than last time.

15 oz of flower (10 oz bud 5 oz trim), machine got 4/5 oz of trim, left one. I sell for 200/oz. If I deduct $20 for the weight of the trim that's left, and another 20 for the missing trichomes, I bet it still sells for 160/oz. 40 x 11 oz = $440 in reduced value vs hand trimming. divided by 34 hours... $13/hr if I wanted to take the time to hand trim the popcorn. I guess it depends how much time you have. I'm trying to make my time worth $30+ an hour.
