I can´t clearly see if there´s moisture on the surface.
Look here to compare with yours.
No need to mist if there´s tiny pearls all over the surface.
Fine misting from high above doesn´t hurt.
You just don`t want standing water on caps or waterlogged substrate.

I'll do that when I get home. I got a great pin set this time, when I took the picture I was half asleep and headed out the door. Not sure is I saw the water beads or not. I'm going to read that link too. Thanks man:thumbup:

Is there a top hole short side half open?
Could be too much passive air exchange.
But first check your surface, if it`s good then let it do

Unmodded shoebox dub tub. I've been fanning a once or twice a day. My understanding was I shouldn't have to mist untill after the first flust. I do have a little pooling outside my liner though.

Some people do dub tubs, but to me it`s useless, and doesn´t provide better microclimate.
Just lid on. Uncrack the lid later on if they want to become trees, they`ll push it up on their own.
Is that a real shoebox with venting gaps on the rim?
If so there`s no need to fan at all.
Everytime you open it for fanning, you erase important microclimate.

It's doesn't have a good seal if that's what u mean, I just put the tub on top the other day, had the lid on upside down before. I guess giving them more room to grown wasn't a great idea lol

Yeah, wobbly lids provide enough air exchange for shoeboxes.
If you think your surface is dry (compared with the pics in the link above),
give it a mist from high above, and let it rain down smoothly.
Don´t be afraid to mist as you have pins already, that doesn´t hurt.
No water pooling, no standing water on caps and you´re fine

Just checked it, I took the top tub off, sprayed a couple time about a foot above it. I can see tiny droplets everywhere. And put the lid back on insted of the tub. Probably gonna have to harvest some today:grin:
