Larry Bishop biker movie produced by Quentin Tarantino. Cool bikes, fun story. Plus, I am partial to biker flicks.

Anybody here ever see this? The Girlfriend Experience series on Starz?

I just finished season 3 yesterday. Every season is a new story with new characters. It immerses you into the world of high priced, high level escorts. The episodes are rather short (barely 30 min) so it's a quick binge watch.

It's quite fascinating. Very atmospheric. And entertaining. Steven Soderbergh is the producer btw.

Spooky Encounters (1980)
8/10

This was a very bizarre and wildly entertaining movie.  The kung fu choreography is incredible.  This is my first viewing of a movie starring Sammo Hung (who also directed the film) and his acting is very comedic.  I recently saw a documentary on the history of kung fu films and he started out along side Jackie Chan in many movies.  They have very similar styles as far as comedy kung fu and the ability to create a weapon or shield out of anything that is readily available.  The final fight at the climax of the film has to be seen to be believed.

Streets of Fire (1984)
7/10

This is my first viewing of this film, for whatever reason.  Defoe - amazing as always, Moranis - nerdy as ever, Diane Lane - ever captivating.  As a musical, the music was decent.  As I was watching this, I pieced together that noir films seem to take place in eternal night time.  Defoe was great as the Jokerly leader of a motorcycle gang villian, and was sometimes wearing leather overalls with no shirt.  The movie has a strong comic book feel to it with some cheesy moments but overall entertaining.

The Nest 6/10

Jude Law who is always completely recognizable and Carrie Coons (the cop with the short hair in Fargo 3) who I didn't recognize for a half hour. It moves slowly. He takes her and the kids back to his native England. Nothing happens until her horse dies and then it goes a little Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe. It doesn't really end up anywhere, but I found the ride at least interesting.

The Holy Mountain 10/10

Wow. Just wow. By far the strangest, trippiest, what-the-fuck artistic movie Ive ever seen. I had no idea was was happening in the beginning but it felt like complex metaphors going 3 layers into reality of Humanity. I watched it on shrooms and it blew my mind. Really cool ending. Highly recommended. Just wow

Booksmart: 10/10, best comedy i've seen in a long time. It was so well made I was sitting there trying to find things I didn't like about the movie. I think my only gripe was that they used an into to a deathgrips song TWICE but didn't play any of the lyrics  such tease

Bridesmaids: 3/10, just a stressful movie about a womans life falling apart. I thought this was supposed to be a comedy, not make me uncomfortable

Mostly posting to get good movie recommendations from future reviews
