Keep an eye on eBay if you want a good deal on an AA. I have bought two 25x's for $200 each.
I don't like to soak but I think it's normal to soak for up to 12hrs.

No, it's just a perk of some strains. I've had potent-as-fuck fruits that wouldn't blue to save their life.
Pic tax, painfully slow progress on this here Melmac experiment:

Hell let's see something more inspiring. A PE swab that's about 8 years old in the fridge and gotten finicky, only one I have and I really want that strain back, and after a few weeks it obliged by throwing up some myc:
Getting clean culture off of that mess is gonna be fun...
Here's an unknown woodlover species in the Azure/Sub/Alleni spectrum that's going good, about to put it into a jar of sterilized wood chips:
And new Natalensis looking for a way out of the plate . Likewise going on grain for trials, maybe grabbing that rhyzo in the front but opinions vary:

Gotta love natalensis plates.
I have a few old ones that have completely covered the inside of the lid, just blue rhizo fans all over.
They’re kinda glued shut too

The other day I found a jar of oysters on wbs that’s gotta be five months old. It’s actually eaten a lot of the grain so there’s big open spaces.
Gotta grab a pic tomorrow.

No sarcasm. I literally did not know this, I've grown mushrooms over 20 times and never vented. I was so happy when I read the comment about venting, like I just had sex or something. The PC I have has a little red vent thing that pops up and locks the lid...is that venting enough?
no. that is one signal to start timing your venting. I have a presto 23-qt. The lock pops up, the pressure gets to 3, the stream of steam is exuberant and I set my timer for 15minutes. Then I put the weight on, bring it to 16.5 and then time 2 hours 15 minutes. I still babysit the fucker and try to run at 17 to 18 psi. I've the the stove well dialed in, but I saw a picture of one that blew apart.
Check out bod's easy af pressure cooker tek. I have three quarters on my weight and still have an inch or so or of water after all that is done.

Venting meaning , when you let the pc heat up with weight off, and let the steam piss out the hole for a 1-2 min before adding the weight?
( i will read your link aswell )
10 mins min, I do 15. 1-2 mins isn't sufficient to purge the cold pockets of air from your grain.
Pic:

I always do 15 minutes. in bod's pc tek there is the link to the chart of the law of partial pressure re temps.

I am officially in love with millet. soak 12 hours, hang to dry overnight. load jars. pc.
I use a fine paint strainer with the millet in a food-grade 5-gallon pail. when I lift it out I hang it on the grab bar in the lab shower; the fucking clamp will totally flatten your finger if you fuck up plus there's all that contained grain soak water. It's my first adjustment ot a TEK...p9's millet in his sigfile.

And speak of millet, two new TEKs, fool that I am. If it goes tits up I won't know whether it;s the grain prep, which I doubt, or the agar wedge [untested] lc pour.

Oh please let me monotub.

Millet just looks easy to deal with and easier to load n fold bags. I also get weird vibes from rye, wheat berries better imo. Does millet keep up with rye? Ill grab some.

Thank you. Can you tell me more about how I can arrive at that conclusion myself. It's a learning process.
I've got 10 more jars prepped and a beautiful agar plate. Narrow it down.
Thanks again.

Pic:

is this strictly for bags?
i dont really do this for jars , i vent until i see a solid stream of steam comming out the vent and then i put the weight on, maybe 1 min or even less sometimes. Always successfull.
Assuming this is just for bags when its super full ?
Ive yet to venture into the bag realm, although I am getting sick of jars but dont have a flow hood to knock bags.
Thanks for the info
